I'd break down and cry if I was given a chance to be that close to an orca in the wild.. I have such an intense emotional connection to orcas .I'd feel the orcas are gracing me with their presence especially if it took interest in the boat. I've gone on 3 whale watches in Monterey ,paying butt loads of money during orca season in hopes of seeing Orcas ,but everytime all we ever see are a few small dolphins,no whales ,no orca. Basically I paid over $200 just to go on 3 boat rides . I fear the ocean too,so to get on the boat took a lot of coaxing from my husband and Valium but I did it all for the orcas, the orcas I never got to see.

What are the best times to visit Monterey to see marine life like this?

Have NEVER been able to do a whale watching tour but it has been something that I have wanted to do for years now. Just watching your video makes me want to cry with excitement. I am amazed at all of God's creation and ocean, whales, & dolphins are huge must see for me. Amazing animals! Beautiful! One day, before I die ...I would love to be able to go out there and take one of these awesome tours. That will be one of the happiest days of my life. I get chills just watching the whales on this video. I can imagine seeing them live and up close. One Day!

I agree with everything you said except for the stuff about god. I am an atheist but still appreciate all the diverse life forms on earth for what they are. I think it's fascinating the way nature can craft so many masterpieces given the time and resources to make it possible. Whales are near the top of the list in my opinion, partially because their transition from land mammals to sea mammals represents a complex 55 million year evolutionary journey to becoming the majestic sea giants we know and love today.

At about 10:12, you panned away as all the killer whales were going in after the younger juvenile humpback, to kill for dinner. Its part of life. If kids and adults can't handle nature, they need to stay home.

About $60.00 per person for like 2 or 4 hours. I've paid for 3 separate whale watching boat rides almost $400 for myself, husband, and son ,during what they called "orca season" . I never seen any whale let alone an orca, all we saw were a few spotted dolphins every time. Very disappointed

If any other animal spit in our faces the way these whales and orcas do I imagine no one would be excited about it. We all would be like "Ewwww! Gross!" Yet whales and orcas can do it to people all day long and everybody is like " OH MY GOD HOW AMAZING! "
