I've been hammering ALL trails with my sunseeker fat tad for over 8 years.

The front suspension on the Steintrikes is probably the best out there. The rear suspension looks pretty similar to my HP Scorpion Enduro, but the front soaks up the rough stuff more efficiently and smoothly. On the ICE Full Fat I used to have, the huge 26x4.8" tires soaked up a lot of trail irregularities, and the full suspension really added to the incredibly soft riding experience. The front suspension on the Full Fat is the least sophisticated and efficient when compared to Steintrikes and HP, but the big tires at 10 PSI help to make up for the basic elastomer suspension. It seems that the Steintrikes 20/20 model has the drive chain and rear derailleur arm super low to the ground, which could easily lead to damage on even minimal off-road terrain. That is one great aspect of the ICE Full Fat, with its 11" of ground clearance with the massive wheel/tire setup, and with a Rohloff IGH on the rear, the derailleur arm is impressively high off the ground, a good thing in rough territory. Thanks for sharing Mickey! See ya' ... steve

I've had my All Terrain for a couple of weeks now and am learning to love it. I almost have it dialed in to fit me. It is a huge improvement over my old, old Rambler. I bought it mainly to make it easier to ride on crushed stone trails. I may try some rougher trails as I get my tired old engine (me) tuned up.

Good advice. I've been wanting a fat trike ever since CycleCon '23.

It looks like the derailleur would be pretty vulnerable to any serious bumps. I’d probably get a rohloff for any serious off roading.

Love my WildOne. Added an Eveolo CVT hub and 500 watt e-assist. So far so good.

My 1. fought as well. looks like a very soon good bye if there is a stick or stone in the wrong spot. Also the chain hanging so low is meh.

I’m prepping a Steintrike Wild One 20/26 for trikepacking. Too hot for trips now but in a month or so…..It’s fun so far around town. Bumps disappear

I been watching your vlog lately to find a possible trike for my mother in her eighties. The first point was safe with electric for help riding and getting home. Off-Road just for comfort makes a lot of sense with a higher trike to make it easier to get in and out off. Thanks. Hopefully you will make a vlog just for more challenging riders.

You should add a few more trikes to this list you missed more than a few great options! I think that you’re wrong about single tracks I ride my Azub Ti Fly X on single track all the time and it’s ground clearance and suspension is hands down higher and better than anything you shown! I have Maxxis Tires on my trike with a tubeless set up. Don’t just review the trikes you sell show us more!

The Terratrike Rambler is the real low price offroad trike, with the same 24" rims as the Allterrain but a thousand dollars less I do some offroad exploring. The tires that come with the rambler are good for roads..so so for trails...I want a set of shwalbe marathon plus 2.1" in 24 size next.

You should have added the Azub Ti Fly X it’s a way better off road trike than the others that you reviewed!

What about the low rideing rear derailleur on the 2020 Stinger would it not get hung up on say a tree root or something along that line

If you are truly going off off road, I would recommend the ICE Full Fat for clearance. You can also get it with an internal hub to help get rid of that possibility.

Do you not carry the Stein Trikes any longer? I checked your website, and Stein is not to be found.

@@LaidBackCycles Ok, so if I'm in the area, you can order one for me. I doubt you would ship it outside of the USA though. I'm in Canada, and we have no dealers.
