I picked up about 2 yards of knit with a Versace inspired print on it for $2 from that swept meet. I couldn't believe it. Lol

man thats one reason i wanna go back to Cali, that swap meet... lol they took all my money every weekend. they even gave me discounts and free stuff because i use to go so often. i love that some of the fabrics are high end and left overs from other designers

I’m in SD too and yup! 90% of my fabric is from there also. You can find some bomb prints in the piles. 💗 Back in the day, there used to be more fabric vendors there.

Welcome back! I buy linens and random bags of fabric. I usually don't get to choose, but the price is laughably low. Seriously low. (I once bought 50 yards of fabric for $1 total) I like to make dresses from weird fabric. I love what you said about handmade clothes being over the top and noticeable and that we should all be proud of our art! So sweet.

Jennifer kek You should go to fashion district in Los Angeles there is like a whole block of fabrics I’ve been wanting to go there for a long time because fabrics are very expensive at regular stores

You can go to swapmeets as well in LA and OC. The FIDM scholarship store in LA has some pretty good fabric for cheap and has sales sometimes
