2:24 Japan knows how to make our mouths water with the food models on their displays! Definitely a good alternative to Starbucks as the food looks more appealing. And yup, I don't shame those who want to eat at McDonald's while on vacation. People are like "You're in another country, you shouldn't have McDonald's" and I'm like, "And?" McDonald's isn't in the same in other countries thanks to different menu items, if you're crunched on time it's a place to get a quick bite, they're everywhere in big cities, and like you said it's familiar. And I really hope that the name of that strawberry shop at 3:48 is a Lost in Translation moment, because if it isn't...oh boy

4:11 I like Mos Burger advertises as "SO BIG!!" as if they're the biggest burgers you're gonna get in Japan and yet as you pointed out, the portion sizes are smaller compared to others! So it's very much irony. I love that Universal has its own metro station (for those who don't know, it's the Yumesaki Line which you transfer to at Nishikujō via the Osaka Loop Line from Osaka station) that drops you off at CityWalk...Universal Orlando would never. With all the trains Japan has, it's definitely one of the best places to live without a car. Heck, even the rural parts like Hokkaido or Nagano get good service! Shame how trains used to be the pride and joy of the US...before the country became infested with polluted highways.

I was laughing at the Red Lobster part because it reminded me when I was at the Tokyo Disney shopping district 4 years ago. The skies opened up and it was blasting pouring rain on us(we were in a part with no cover). The hostess at a restaurant opened the door and flagged us inside. We ran in soaking wet but grateful- it was a TGI Fridays. We didn’t come to Japan to go to Friday’s but under the circumstance…wellll (Oh and they were so sweet. They brought us these big plush blankets to put on our laps since we were so cold from being soaked)

Aww it's like a cute little town! I love it! ♥ By the way, and I apologize for this being off-topic, but at Universal Studios Japan have people been having issues with their armbands coming off? I've noticed that a lot of people I watch who went to our new Nintendo Land are having issues with their bands falling off, especially when they hit the blocks. I didn't look like you had any issues though so I was just curious. Thanks for the video and have a good day!!

TDR explorer, most soups unless marked are not vegetarian because they have a meat base for the broth (like chicken or fish) I've gone to the Wolfgang Puck's a few times, the pizza costs more, but tastes 100% better than Saizeriya. The price is also not that bad when you consider it is a sit down meal with a waitstaff and you don't need to pay tip. Strawberry Fetish seems really popular, I think it replaced Candy Time.

Bubba Gump's is so good haha!! It was one of my favorite parts of going to USJ! I feel like it keeps with the movie themeing of the park. Although when I went I was really missing Western flavours so I was pretty biased. But I think people should explore more than Sushi-Ro and Saizeriya if they are at USJ.

I'm going to Japan at the beginning of June with my mom and my fiancee and am a little unsure how to pre purchace Universal tickets. My mom wanted to go and we are going to be there 2 weeks. Should we try to pre buy them or get them at the gate, or just walk in to buy there, and if we do pre buy is it at their Universal website? Sorry for the questions, we were going to spend 2 days in Osaka 1 in Universal and 1 checking out the city and I wasn't sure what would be best.

hello, I just bought my USJ tickets a week ago for travel in March, based on my experience I'd highly recommend buying the tickets ahead of time on the Universal studios website. It is usually quite busy and if you buy at the gate they may sell out or not have the tickets you want. The US website is in English so it's easy to purchase, but I believe their credit card system is down so it is not accepting US credit cards. You can use Apple pay though. Hope that's helpful and enjoy your trip!

I have a guide on our site that explains tickets! Give that a read and it'll help clear things up. I don't recommend waiting to buy them the day of because you risk long lines at ticket booths and potentially selling out. tdrexplorer.com/universal-studios-japan-tickets/

Cool scarf! Red Lobster was really bad when I went despite being really expensive. Bubba gump is also expensive but the appetizers were pretty good and the service was great. I can also back up that the Wolfgang puck pizza is very good for pizza in Japan, better than I expected. MOS burger is expensive for what you get but in their defense it is considered one of the healthier fast food options. If you are into popcorn there is a shop with all kinds of wild popcorn flavors at citywalk too.
