Decatur is good for houses not apartments. The south side has too many apartments and run down areas. Being a Atlanta native I’m Gucci everywhere but if you for out of town moving to Atlanta try this. For the Eastside area Tucker, Chamblee, and Smoke Rise. Some of Stone Mountain on the 78 end are actually nice. The Southside I would recommend outside the perimeter like Stockbridge and Eagles Landing. Kind of far but more bang for your buck and it’s safe. North side Vinings Dunwoody, Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, Gwinnett County. North side has the most options but a little pricey. West side is the hood period you have some spots but you got to be careful even if you have a nice house you’ll be surrounded by that hood element. If you he’ll bent on staying in the city proper try Midtown, Buckhead, and Atlantic Station areas. East Atlanta has been gentrified but grandma nem still got houses over there so the hood is still sprinkled throughout zone 6. In the 6 you can have a 800,000 house right next to a trap house so keep that in mind. Living down town is kind of overrated in a city like Atlanta it’s not NYC where everything is in walking distance. Ain’t nothing downtown but office spaces, restaurants, and some shopping in Midtown and Buckhead. If you need groceries and gas and the essentials you will be limited as the groceries stores and gas stations tend to close earlier downtown. You’ll likely have to go to the outskirts more often than you expected. The best value is places like Brookhaven, Tucker, Howell Mill area , North DeKalb, Vinings, Chamblee, Sandy Springs. These areas are close enough to enjoy downtown but far away to escape all the chaos of intown living.

You were spot on with some things, except "West". West of Atlanta not only includes "Mechanicsville"(the Inner city aka "hood"), but there are metropolitan suburbs west of Atlanta, which includes... Austell, Mableton, Lithia Springs, Hiram, Douglasville, Dallas, etc. All are within Cobb, Douglas, & Paulding counties(15-20 mins west of Atlanta). Nice areas. Moderately priced, depending on what your budget is. We should always keep in mind: you get what you pay for. If you want dirt cheap, you'll be in the hood of any city regardless of location. If you care about your livelyhood & environment where you lay your head at night...paying a little more to stay somewhere nicer shouldn't be an issue for peace of mind. Ijs.

I’ve been living in GA for 4 years now. I’ve lived north though so can’t say much about the south. Tucker, Norcross and Chamblee really isn’t all that expensive but I would say to be very careful with the apartments there because most of them I had major roach issues. Also, lots of Spanish people here who can be discriminating towards those who aren’t their kind. I’ve had some give me nasty nasty looks when apartment hunting. Idk what that’s about. Where I live now, Duluth, is the only apartment I haven’t experienced that lol. Idk, it’s been crazy here. Very nice apartments and great area ❤️ I’ve always been scared to move to south side lmfao but the apartment prices there are sooo tempting. My friend lives in East Point and her apartment is soooo nice.

To say you’ve only been in Atlanta for 8 months, this was almost spot on. Two things though. Decatur has two sides, south and north. The south is hood and the north is nice. Second, Fulton county is the largest in Georgia. It runs from south Atlanta all the way to north Atlanta. So that’s why people are confused when you say you live in Fulton County.

Bad things happen everywhere, as long as the property owners care about security that will deter some foolish behavior. There has since been a shooting at Kandi's restaurant OLG at Camp Creek so.... 🤷🏾♀️ Traffic to get into Camp Creek is madness if it weren't for that back road that runs behind the shops and Park N' Fly, I wouldn't go. I love SpaTaneous Nails. I'm from Jonesboro on the southside lived in north Atlanta, West Midtown, and Decatur. The West End is very small and doesn't reflect "the westside" which I assume you are referring to anything west of Atlanta. Like you say, do your research 🤓

Thanks for this video ! Yea I think I would move to NorthSide. As far as rent, Miami is wayyyy more expensive.. this is the same thing with Miami. You other cities like North Miami , North Miami Beach or the City of Miami as an example

Ew I hate the south side lol but camp creek is nice, I’m from East Atlanta. Also greenbriar don’t have no good stores. My favorite areas are sandy Springs, chamblee also there’s more to the east side than Decatur listen to zone 6 by young nudy lol

she's right about the north side I live in Gwinnett and it'a really expensive depending really where. The more north you go the more expensive and the less you see black people. Like you'd be the minority tbh. It's Lowkey spring if you're a younger person but if you have kids its a nice area a lot of parks, good schools, really quiet area but if you a city person you not gone enjoy it tbh

I forgot they changed the name to Donnell howell mill rd. I think......everything you are saying is truth but some areas that use to be good turned to murder capital and war zone especially for out of state ppl. New
