Wow that looks awesome. That one turn you made such a big spray some snow hit you in the face!! Wow. Any recommendations for someone still at a beginner level but trying to advance? How long would It take me to get to a highly advanced level like you?

Sean, thanks for the awesome comment! Love making these videos and when someone like you chimes in and says how much they enjoyed it, it truly makes my day! Honestly, I would say to do your best to get your form dialed in before you make any big leaps. I have been skiing for 5 years and I am still a beginner myself. I don't think i'm anything special but I just love to push myself each and every day. I have been trying to get better in form as of lately and I would really like to do a follow class with an expert skier sometime in the near future. Another subscriber @zachtilley helped me out a lot by mentioning another youtubers channel, Deb Armstrong. She is such a great teacher and you can pick up on so many little things that will make your skiing so much better right away. These little tips and learning from people that have commented on my videos as of late have really helped me out. The community on youtube is amazing and it's surprising almost to see just how many people out there will help you out of the kindness of their heart. Tips, tutorials, videos, but the best of all is just getting out there and ripping it up! Hope this helps and if we can ever take a lap or two together down the road just know i'm looking forward to that day! Cheers, Sean!

I got in line for lil cottonwood in January at 7 am and waited for the road to open. The road that merges at the mouth of the canyon slows down the entry. Only the locals know if that's the better entry way. Got the first lot and the next lot the next day. Those lots are convenient to Gadzoom lift. Where did you have to park?
@CoryGrasser

It is nice that you can take a bus up from the canyon. I feel like on this day that may have been the better option so I wouldn't have to stress about parking. We parked near creekside and got very lucky on parking when someone was leaving. Gadzoom and Mid Gad to start the day is so good!

Thanks, Chad! It's so fun here! Would love to come back in the summer and do the 50 miler that is run by the same company that takes tokens for entry into the TMB and CCC.

Couple of questions: Where do you get your music? What settings do you use on your GoPro pole mount view? Also settings for the chest mount
@CoryGrasser
Жыл бұрын
What's up, Peyton! Thanks for the questions! I get all my music from artlist. Go pro is usually on 60 fps, hyperview, gopro color, boost stabilization. Same for chesty mount. Sometimes I'll use the hyperview or wide view at 120fps to get slow mo. Hope this helps and thanks again for watching!

Wish you did Alta. Woulda loved to see your footage their. So what does the summit county kid think of Utah resorts comparatively?
@CoryGrasser
Жыл бұрын
Last year, I was at Alta for 2 days, and I have to say that was one of my top 10 favorite days riding. I love the Uath mountains, especially snowbird and alta. Surprisingly, I'm also a big fan of Brighton. Copper is still my favorite, but for the mountains being so close to town, it's a huge win for Utah!

I was at Snowbird several weeks ago and I had never been. It was probably my most favorite ski day as well, perfect blue bird conditions, still lots of snow and hardly any crowds. I skied the tunnel, did Mineral Basin, dropped into the Cirque, and was all over that mountain. What an amazing day! Best place I’ve ever been to!

That's awesome! I think Snowbird is a place that I need to ski at least once a year while I'm able to. I'm happy you had an epic day there as well, Scott!

@@SeeChadRun I was visiting to ski (and ice climbing!) I stayed with my buddy for a week and hit up three ski resorts. I'll soon be posting a bunch of videos to my channel about my trip up there, but I'm still pretty backlogged with footage and other videos!

Not at all, Zach! Thanks for the tips to keep exploring. I've got a bunch of morr terrain to knock off here at Snowbird and Alta, but that's the beauty of these resorts

I remember this day pretty well. I was on a bus for 4 1/2 hours (with no seat so I was standing) trying to get up the canyon because I couldn't reserve parking at Alta. I ended up only skiing for like 90 minutes because my legs were trashed from standing. I want to try out Snowbird this year - looks like a fun place.

Dude! I thought we had it bad, but almost 5 hours STANDING standing in boots would be rough, to say the least! You owe it to yourself to have an all-out pow day up in little Cottonwood canyon!
