useful tools/equipment
scalpel with neat spare blades,
prickly needle ,
cutting mat (don't save, get the thickest one you can get),
Gaffer tape/fabric tape (cheap ones are enough, make sure it has little fabric, too much fabric interferes with cutting),
Removable gluespray
goldband/professional masking tape,
graphite chalk 9B, pencil (the softer the better,
Rolling stool (it helps if you can move quickly while cutting)
metal plate, neodymium magnets (balls are best),
dina3 printer, 160g Dina3 printer paper,
Image carrier options for your stencil motif
Advantages and disadvantages of the image carrier
Canvas (template is often not so easy to put on and the magnet technique is no longer necessary)
MDF boards (can easily be cut to the desired size in the hardware store, are inexpensive and robust, which means that they can be worked with chalk, water or oil paints
Paper (can be waved is not so robust, magnet technology is used for that and is easy to store and is ideal for further mixed-media experiments)
Cardboard (Can also be corrugated and not so easy to edit with chalk, but cheap and with a nice urban effect)
Rockwool/ceiling tiles (Cheap, lightweight, but has an irregular surface and should be primed and smoothed over beforehand. Looks like stone slabs afterwards and has a strong urban charm)
