The property taxes are higher in Vancouver area too.. I lived in Surrey all my life and moved to Kelowna a few years ago.. now thinking of moving to Alberta. It’s very depressing in in Lower Mainland…. Dark gloomy raining for months during winter but in Kelowna it’s sunny mostly even in between snow. In Kelowna, it gets so hot in the summer that it’s almost impossible to spend time outside! I think Alberta is the best but I’ve never spent a lot of time in Alberta so just doing research now. Thank yo7 for these videos, it’s definitely helping my decision. 💕

@Boris Paredes. I would see what lifestyle you want. People can say all sorts, but at the end of the day, its whatever lifestyle youre seeking. Cost wise, I'll take Calgary over Vancouver. Overall though, if it came to lifestyle, I'd take Vancouver over Calgary or Edmonton. Theres lots to do. People are active out there and there are ways to enjoy the outdoors.

I was born in Calgary and at age 28 moved to BC. Spent 2 years in Okanagan and 17 years in Vancouver. Currently I live in Ontario which I have found to be the best place to live in Canada. Left Alberta as I couldn"t stand the cold winters. Both BC and Alberta are very much boom or boost economies. I love Ontario the hot summers and milder winters. Far more stable economy. "

Could you brief me on How exactly is #Ontario much better than #Calgary and #Vancouver BC in a the points ?? Also isnt #calgary the 5th best place to live in North America and would you say for first time entry into Canada on Student Visa or startup entrepreneurship visa to start our own business and grow irrespective of the field which location would be better and why ? Also at the age of 35 to 45 and beyond are there many activities and great living in Ontario compared to both the other cities ?
@timechild5129

@@deboraabh I was born in Calgary. The economy has always been boom or bust. Calgary is a oil based economy. Next to no industrial base. Isolated. Cold winters. Currently Calgary is in a bust economy. Vancouver is lovely scenic but very expensive and with a large Asian (China) population who inflate housing prices etc. All in all Ontario is the industrial base of Canada. Yes Toronto is expensive but the suburbs are less expensive. Ontario has superior transportation, superior health care, Toronto is a world class city. Behind London, New York City comes Toronto for Live Entertainment. Calgary is not a major center for entertainment. The population is too low. Greater Toronto is 10 million people almost 1/3 of the population of Canada. Toronto is warmer in Winters than Calgary and has magnificent HOT summers. The possibilities for activities are endless in Ontario. I Live in Hamilton Ontario. Toronto is a short 40 or so minute train ride every 30 mins. I laugh at that stupid statement that Calgary is the 5th best place in North America to live, just ridiculous. All my family live in Alberta except me, I consider myself the lucky one. The USA border is 200 miles south of Calgary and no major USA cities near the border. Vancouver is at the USA border and Seattle Washington is about 100+ miles south. Toronto is about 60 miles from the USA border at Niagara Falls Ontario. It's up to you do you want to live close to a World Class City with virtual endless entertainment and outdoor activities or in a small hick town I consider Calgary. I dislike Alberta because of the politics. The city I live in has 7 hospitals - more hospitals than Calgary with Hamilton having 1/2 population of Calgary. The politicians have destroyed health care for Albertans. It is impossible to compare either VAncouver or Calgary to Toronto - Toronto as I have said is a World Class City - think London, New York, San Francisco, etc Toronto is probably the safest large in North America. It is the 4th largest North American City. Lester B. Pearson International Airport (IATA: YYZ, ICAO: CYYZ), branded as Toronto Pearson International Airport (simply known as Toronto Pearson, Pearson Airport or Pearson), is the main international airport serving Toronto, its metropolitan area, and its surrounding region known as the Golden Horseshoe. It is the largest and busiest airport in Canada,[6] the second-busiest international air passenger gateway in the Americas,[7] and the 30th-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic, handling 50.5 million passengers in 2019. Travel possibilities are endless out of Toronto.

I live in BC but have lived in Alberta for many years and I agree with this gentleman. Vancouver is unfriendly, expensive, overrated, and overpriced with less opportunities. What I like the most about Alberta is the CAN DO attitude, many of the people are not lazy, whereas in BC this is where the protesters and snowflakes reside. Alberta for the average working folk and family is better. Also Vancouver people are leaving Vancouver for the interior of BC and driving up its real estate prices. Vancouver will be owned by the Chinese.

Hi, I just somehow happened to stumble upon your video. I haven't finished watching it yet, I will later. I was born and raised in Vancouver & have watched my beautiful city become more & more overpopulated, congested & increasingly expensive. I never really go into Vancouver though, too much traffic. It's much nicer and more peaceful living in the suburbs, near forest and water 😊. I have relatives in Calgary and in my teens and 20s used to visit them almost every year, loved to do most of my shopping there cuz no PST 🤭! I couldn't live there though, it's too flat for me 😁 & I'm too used to the milder winters here. I remember one winter I was visiting there for Christmas in the 80s and we went to South Center mall & when we came out, we had to run to the car cuz it was minus 40 C! Although the summers are drier there, it gets very humid here 😩.

Another question, Many people arguing that the economy of Alberta even before the pandemic was not so good cause the economy is only based in the oils and gas field which dropped down. And with that and the pandemic now, many people lost their jobs. They say it's not a good place nowadays to land in for a new comer to start. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
@sarahbuyucan
3 жыл бұрын
Yes I’m agree for that ,but after and during time of pandemic almost every province in Canada struggling (business close,job lost,some people survive with the help of our government (recovery benefits money receive monthly)me im just a positive person I Believe job is always there (warehouse,hospitals,nursing homes,big stores )..specially us immigrants who never give up (start any kind of job )from the scratch to survive.

Hello po, I am planning to go in Canada as International Student po. At baka matagal po as of now ang processing din
