a difficult I have with recommending last year's gear, particularly with apparel, is that my favorite pieces sometimes aren't available across multiple years

Completely agree! I wish some styles of shoes would just come back year after year. Those Korsa tops changed slightly, and I wish they could just do throwback styles!Maybe that will happen one day. Kofuzi, man, I gotta tell you it's an honor that you commented on my video. I've been following you for YEARS NOW!

@kofuzi I agree to a point with your comment, but the fact is, the price of some running gear is getting ridiculous. I'll gladly wait a year and get them at a reduced price, and if they don't have my size, so be it. Although, so far I haven't had that problem

Agree yours shorts look nice with that techwear vibe. Great choice. How are they inside?

Appreciate those kind words! Love all the tech wear these days. The blue lomg sleeve from Nike is like silk when I wear it. Doesn't chafe easily and wicks moisture well. The jacket has a nice fit for it. The inside is a lot like any rain jacket, so it may get a little warm, but I really enjoy it on wet mornings where you start a run and then it's easily packable. Hope this helps and thanks again for enjoying the video!

@hrrrrrrr2084 Awww the shorts! Dude, my favorite pair of all time. I actually just got a new color way for a race I ran yesterday. The liner fits snug, and they are so comfortable. The size chart suggested I go with a size small because of my 30 in waist, but I found the mediums to be a better fit and still the liner was snug where "everything stayed in place". Even after a tough 50k trail race yesterday, I can still say these are my faborite shorts.

@@CoryGrasser aw too bas they look super nice but the having a liner is so bad for me, somehow I expected based on looks this model wouldn't have one. At least it suits you very well! Congrats for trailing 50 km. Impressive!

@hrrrrrrr2084 I totally understand that. I prefer a liner cause I don't want to wear spandex anymore. And thank you. Means a lot. So sore today haha

I love that you buy the previous years gear. I do exactly the same. Some runnung gear is so expensive now. I have a wife and a daughter and i can't justify spending maybe £150 on a pair of shoes. Also, your gear choices are very close to my own, sense ride ride 4, unbelievable shoe and incredibly durable. I got the ride 15, but had the 14 and it was great and the salomon vest - i dont think any other vests come close. Great content mate, only found your channel this morning but I'm definitely subscribing, keep up the great work.

Kevin, thank you! I'm right there with you, though. I love new gear just like everyone else, but sometimes "new gear" can still be the last year's models. As a father and husband, it's got to help keep your spending lower while having time for your hobbies. I'm happy you enjoy the videos! Best wishes, Kevin!

@@CoryGrasser I always say it might not be brand new, but it's new to me 😂 looking forward to seeing new videos. Stay safe on them trails, I hear there's a lot of wild animals in the US. I'm from the UK, so the most dangerous animal encounter I've ever had was when a sheep looked at me funny.

@kevinwallace8877 thanks, Kevin! I met a guy hiking the TMB last year named Darren Curtis. He's from the UK and does some awesome hiking videos over there that I need to come do some day. Maybe our paths will cross at some point. Thank you for all the kind words! Chat again soon!
