I have back pain and everyone says to sleep on my side with pillow between my legs and every morning I wake up worst than before!!!

I downloaded this video to my phone about a month ago and since I started, I've had massive improvement to my slipped disc lower back pain. After more than 2 years of dramas and trips to physio, you've managed to help me within the first session. I find the longer I perform these exercises, the better the results over the long term. 5:40 been doing this pillow between legs for about a month now after reading it in a health blog. This one helps ALOT! I don’t wake up in the morning needing to crack and twist my back to *pop it anymore. Though if there is Hot temperatures in your area it may get uncomfortably hot,so sometimes on warmer nights I’ll wake up with the pillow kicked off to the side that I must’ve done while half-asleep and didn’t realize it lol. But other than that give this one a try for a few nights and see if it works for you like it’s worked for me. 👍

I'm 32 and been sleeping on my front for the last 11 years or so and my neck and lower back are utterly ruined. I try to sleep on my back but find myself unable to get comfy and end up becoming anxious until I give up and go back onto my stomach. I've no idea how to change this but I feel like my back is that of a 60 year old.

Hi, this video was so informative. I’ve had pain for months and months, and just realized that it’s because although I am sleeping on my side, I totally twist throughout the night. So I am a fake side sleeper… more like I end up in my belly with a twisted head. I even changed the mattress but that didn’t do anything for me. I need to put more limits to my flimsy body loooool. Thank you!!!

I have 8 pillows that keep me in good posture during night. The older I get the more sensitive I become for the pain while sleeping and so the amount of pillows increase.

I'm 29 and my back is pure trash..I sleep on my side but god help me if I end up on stomach my back locks and I cannot get up for a while the pain and back cramps omg.. When I lift a leg I feel the pain in back.I had two c sections (epidural) they messed up on 2nd one and had to inject me again.ever since then I have never been the same 😣

I always thought that we were supposed to sleep on our stomachs for low back pain. Especially if you have degenerative disc disease.

What happens when you move around in your sleep? You won't be able to adjust the pillows then. I am aware of your suggestions but I think a good solution is to allow the body to move into a comfortable position by sleeping on a bed that's wide enough to roll from side to side. Hard to do if you sleep with someone (get your own bed) or alone but have a small sized bed (get a wider bed). My 2 cents. Cheers!

I liked the best sleeping positions for low back pain (I have 2 bulging discs in my lower back). I am a side sleeper, I use a pillow between my legs, but I draw my knees up towards my chest. Is this a bad thing to do?

i’ve been telling my mom for over a year now i need a chiropractor. well, now i’m stuck in bed and can’t get up at all because i pulled my back out bad and i’m not sure how :( i’ll try the pillow between my legs because i usually sleep on my side already

@@casualcookin3893 thanks, the pillow didn’t help but i ended up pulling my back out to the point i couldn’t move again and i followed a video of a chiropractor showing how to stretch your back properly and it helped a lot because they were ones you can easily do in your bed or on the couch… still didn’t go to a chiropractor but hope one day i get to go because back problems are a huge issue in my family.

@@summeriswandering628 If you can,try hitting the glutes with some strenghtening excercises,its weird but those are related to back pain Sometimes stretching is counterproductive,i have been struggling with similar problems for a while now and strenghtening the muscle groups that are responsible for this is by far the best thing i tried

@@summeriswandering628 I used 2 be like that aswell,turns out all those years working as stock supplier where i would carry around tons and tons of stock every day i worn out some muscles while strenghtening others,so now the ones that i had not been using were atrophied and i needed to strenghten them up,i was on the verge of suicide because i had constant back,neck and trap pain and insane headaches on regular basis Excercises that target neck area,traps,shoulders and chest seems to reverse this for me,now i have a back pain that i was able to tackle by strenghtening my upper glutes and most importantly the piriformis muscle,however i still need to quit the job to recover fully Id reccomend you to see piriformis strenghtening excercises,my back pain was because of this

I heard of a method where they placed a tennis ball in the back of their shirt, so when they tried to roll over in sleep, the tennisball would stop them from turning and you stay on your back !

I love a bolster under my knees when I lie on my back. Very comfortable and relaxing. My yoga teacher shared a great trick recently, bolsters are sold out most places now we're all practising at home so if you put two pillows into one pillowcase to make firmer, denser pillow it approximates a bolster 🛏 🧘🏻♀️

I have the same problem,did a surgery and after 3months the spine bulge reappeared a bit bigger also causing spine stenosis. Learn to deal with it,take care of yourself and avoid surgery of its not an emergency.

Hi! I had muscle spasms for a month and got medications for 2 weeks. I also discovered that I have Dextroscoliosis 10 degrees. I can still feel the discomfort in my lowerback. Doesn't feel the same way before😭 Been doing stretches everyday, it helps but can I still feel the same way before?

I have ql muscle pain and get daily spasms that put me in agony. I install flooring for a living and when its busy season it flares up from working too hard. Then when its slow and I stay home and rest, it flares up after laying down. My ql muscle is very hard. Doing stretches flares it up worse, trying learn about trigger points

Sleeping on the flat should be fine . most of us as children sleep on the flat beds . with no pillow.

@@Activchiro Yeah, I think it's probably better. There's a video on KZitem of a guy who looked into how tribe members sleep. And he found that nearly all of them used their arm as a pillow and slept on their sides. It's really interesting.
