Hey Jasper, I picked up the ORAs based off your videos. They are surprisingly loud for their size. Unbelievable. Still adjusting to them and I can't say I'm 100% sold, but will keep testing. I do have a question, have you tried comparing the sound quality between the usb-c and rca ports on the ORAs? It could be my interface line out (Roland Bridge Cast), but when I switched to usb-c, it sounded better. Wondering if it's my interface or if it's the RCA on the ORAs. Thanks.

Hey hey - hanks for the note! I have done some minor testing with both inputs and I personally use them with the USB-C input; both sounded good though. I prefer USB since it removes the potential for interference. One thing I’ll say is placement can often make a lot of difference. So I’d suggest playing around with that to see if it helps (Kanto makes some nice stands).

just found out about the new Micro Monitors thanks to this video. Using the original Micro Monitors right now, I'll say that the bluetooth won't be missed by me, I found it to be too noisy. Nice upgrades all around, balanced XLR-in + independent power = cleaner, louder audio, but as you said, USB audio would have been really sweet. still hard to beat the Original Micro Monitors on price, and I really enjoy the smaller size, but the new Micro Pro is a long needed update.

I have Dirac, Sonarworks and know what a room can do.....(and how impulse and eq correction does magic) that being said the Iloud are not really affected by the room the are ment to be used in close range (closer than nearfield). They work great and you don't need to push them far to be loud although you need to keep them in close range. I would use correction (on the pro's if I would upgrade) learn the sound and be fine. The old Ilouid micro had bluetooth as well which can be nice for phone kinda suprised the pro's do not feature bluetooth anymore...

I have the original micro monitors. best dollars i spent for my homestudio back when i was geting started. It’s improved here. But still being a very small speaker with lots of LF extension, the bass reflex can be a bit noisy at high levels. This however will not create any issue or limitation when working on audio.

@@Jasper-Tech Not only my experience but countless online. Bass woofers will cut out on one side on the micros, and countless issues with the mtms Like the dsp crapping out and the room correction test tone cutting out early on one and giving you an different correction curve on both speakers. If your product is out of warranty they just won’t help you. Won’t sell you spare parts or give schematics. They straight up don’t have an actual tech support division. It’s all just a crappy form customer service asking if you’ve turned it on and off again. There are an extreme amount of cases that pop up and disappear on their forums. And many just end up as garbage. Super unfortunate because of how amazing the speakers are when they work. But absolutely pathetic when you have 500$ 2” monitors and they only last 3.5 years. And then 1k for a pair of mtms that are garbage after 4. Don’t even look up the problems with their other hardware lol it’s crazy the level of marketing they have that all these issues are very unknown.
