Fuchka is a popular street snack that consists of crispy hollow puris filled with a spicy and tangy mixture of potatoes, chickpeas, tamarind chutney, and flavoured water. It is also known as Pani Puri or Golgappa in different parts of the world.
To make Fuchka at home, mix flour, salt, semolina, and water to make a dough. Roll the dough into small discs and fry until puffed and golden.
To make the filling, boil and mash the potatoes, combine them with the boiled chickpeas, and season with chilli powder, cumin, and chaat masala. For that real taste, pour in a lot of tamarind chutney.
Bengali cuisine's main dish, luchis paratha, is deep-fried puffed bread made from unleavened dough. It is usually served with cholar dal (chana dal) or aloo dum (spicy potato curry).
