Wow. I wondered what those super C's looked like. I am Air Force, Vietnam veteran. And, thanks to the VA taking 10 years to grant a claim, I bought a 98 American Dream 2 yrs ago. Wife picked it out and we love it, Only 1 slide, but it works for us, especially since 31,000 is more affordable than half a mil. whew!!! Our 40' diesel pusher with washer/dryer combo and cedar lined closets and storage space galore keep us in this one for quite a while. You guys do good work, and I enjoy your presentations.

You missed one of the hidden features. Newmar developed a system that allows the cab, which is air ride as well as the front seats, to maintain its air ride where the cab connects to the RV portion. Everyone else who uses the semi cab and chassis solidly connects the cab and the RV meaning the ride comfort in the Newmar will be superior to any of their competitors models. The Newmar Super “C” will allow you to drive with little or no fatigue for hours on end if you so desire.

The model in the presentation is the one I've selected for the dealer to order. With two more options you did not mention or show that perhaps you are unaware of. Heated floors and installed solar panels on the roof. I'm not that sold on the window in the kitchen, I understand your statement about giving additional lighting in the kitchen but, this coach is not short on lighting anywhere. Keeping a window clean in an area where you can expect cooking splatter is something to be considered as well. It's 13 months since your video, these are a lot more scarce than they were a year ago despite the price. Thanks for the preview.

The best part of these super C RV’s is if you get into a collision there’s a whole lot of steel between you and what you hit. A regular coach has really nothing between you and what you hit. I saw an Class 1 RV that hit a moose in northern Ontario the front was totally destroyed. 2 guys I worked with hit a moose about the same size and the engine mounting brackets broke and the truck was repairable.

Agreed. I know a few truck drivers who’ve shared photos of what’s known as “deer deliveries”. And in one of these cases, a bear delivery. In all cases the rigs were easily repairable. However, the one school bus which was a class A pusher, was completely destroyed from the front to just past the front axle.

One of the big pluses over pretty much every other vehicle on the road is being above the mass of the moose. Which on pickup trucks goes right through the front windshield. Repair costs on humans in this situation is n/a.

Even with the lack of outside storage on the model you toured, I'm a bit partial to Renegade. In my previous life, we had a Renegade coach with a single slide. At the time, we needed something that could tow our boat (the Tioga Montara couldn't cut it) so in 2000 we bought a small Renegade (37' total) from Kibbi (McKibbin family) in Indianapolis and drove it across the country back home. The workmanship of the cabinetry was incredible. At the time, carpet and tube TVs were still the thing 🤨 ...and Phil's right - those QD generators are super quiet. Nice RVs have come a long way!

Yall are the best presenters I've ever seen on these RV vids. Your wife is especially good with how she modulates her speech. She kept me interested throughout her presentation. @@todayissomeday Well someone should have given you that information before yall started the presentation. The torque is crucial to know how much the RV can tow and many cities do not allow jake brakes to be used in their city limits for loudness issues. Jakes are very loud when applied to slow down the rig.

I think Tiffen was actually one of the first manufacturers to offer that kind of "backsplash" window in an RV. Super C's are a drivers choice option of the single body units. What you gain on a Super C in crashworthiness, truck chassis options, you lose in living space/or a much shorter rv, added noise and a tunnel view. Nothing compares to the view out the front of a Class A driving thorough the mountains.

This super C cost as much as our house and we want to sell it for a more simple life. It’s cool too look at but I’m good with what we picked out. After our first trip and going back home, our house felt way bigger than it needed to be. RV owners for a week and 1 step closer to full timing,

The one thing that I think is a little over the top are the blinds or window shades being automatic. The more little motors and electric doo hickeys you have in a bus like this the more can go wrong. As far as the price it is comparable to any Freightliner chassis, with 505 HP. The colors and lighting in this rig were spot on, just like you point out. Seems as though there is ample storage and the configuration works out for a couple in this particular rig. Were the cabinets and hardware comparable to Tiffin or Renegade? For some reason that is the first thing I notice when I walk into a rig, is how are the cabinets built, it tells you a lot about the quality of the rig and the types of materials used in these areas. Thanks for the review.

It’s nicer than my home but too flashy & too big for my taste...I like to keep things simple & all those lights & panels mean more things that can break. Though I’d keep the cupboard lights! For a top of the line Super C the (not so comfortable) driver and passenger seats and the bare bones cheap plastic dash and small screen are a real Disappointment! Lack of a hand held remote or phone app to control things is a real negative. Those recliners are cheap and don't look comfortable. Second control panel (by dinning) is behind your head and not convenient( again a remote or app for a smart phone or i pad is what is needed). Cadenza needs roll up or pop up power ports on both sides. For safety the stairs need an electric cover inside when door is closed (FYI this is common on these super C's so surprise this doesn't have it. If you still want that railing it should be made out of the same wood as the cabinets. Again, the control panel and power port are BEHIND the love seat so you have to get up and turn around to use them!! Power outlets in the kitchen are where you have to bend over and look up to plug something in - not convenient. The hanging clothes closet is SMALL, I have seen smaller RV's with nearly "walk in closets". Your numbers are wrong: Twin rear axels(less that 8 ft. apart) can carry 34,000 lbs. Max front axel available - 16,000 lbs. so the GVRW is 50,000 max., not 58,000. Weigh the RV with full fuel and fresh water tanks and subtract that from 50,000 and that will be your cargo capacity. Your GCWR is 80,000 lbs.(by law) so 80,000 - 50,000 give you your 30,000 lb. tow rating. But remember that whatever weight you put on the hitch ball becomes part of your 50,000 lb.GVRW.

37hj is my favorite floor plan. walk through bath is best use of space with double slides in the bedroom to make it nice and large. Still get a private water closet so the rear of the coach is not blocked off is someone needs to use the restroom. Take a look at the Entegra version. Same layout and cost pretty much the same. It's has a slightly higher end feel though. I also think the body paint looks better but that is me.

That is really sweet! Pretty over the top with the number of control panels, but they would certainly make life easy. I totally agree that that desk and table set up is way too tight, especially for that big a rig. You are clearl really tiny, Stacey; I can’t picture anyone any bigger in any way fitting there. One of the things I especially like is the overhead outlets in the kitchen and bathrooms. Not only do they preserve countertop space, but they protect against cords getting wet, and the whole thing would look a lot more neat. The setup for CPAPs is genius! I am totally going to steal that idea. I keep seeing rigs that look great - until I get to the bedroom and there is absolutely *nowhere* near the head of the bed to set up the CPAP. And IMO, that full size emergency exit door is essential. I do not know what RV designers are thinking about putting literally only one door in the entire rig these days, regardless of its size. Those window emergency exits are only going to be usable by the young and agile. Older people and those with disabilities would be in big trouble. Great video - thanks for the tour! Goals... 😆🤪😆

I (Phil) really love the Super C Freightliners: All the stuff that cools that engine is in front so it gets dirty less! Also, Freightliner would be less reticent to work on it because it is a normal front end. Lastly, why only a 60 gallon gray tank? Shar and I can survive for 10 days doing two loads of laundry and taking NAVY showers and we have 75 gallons! I suppose the people who would buy this have no appetite to boondock so they will always be connected! Oh, one other thing, RV manufacturers should start utilizing/installing LiFePO4 batteries in their coach banks! Fantastic video you guys! I want!!

Absolutely love the Newmar Supreme Aire and also the smaller Super Star. You both do a great job, and it is nice to hear from someone other than an salesman or Newmar Rep. HOWEVER, please take this as positive criticism, from someone who is 5'6", (I used to be 5'8" but now at 65 years old, I'm shrinking). Just because you are only 5' tall, does not make it a negative feature! (Who would climb into an outside storage compartment?). They sell very compact and sturdy step ladders than fold up to 1 inch wide. If you want a motorhome that fits your height, than buy a teardrop or tent. ALOS, USB ports are on the way out. They now have wireless charging, and I have a fast charge for my Galaxy that goes into a regular outlet. Keep up the great work.

I didn’t think the hanging closet space was very adequate. We own a Newmar class A diesel pusher, 14 years old and have much more hanging space and drawers than I saw. We also full time, so that is very important. We are just shy of 39 ft, so for its extra length, I would expect a more substantial closet. I also loved the lighting and that window behind the kitchen area. Lots of pluses, but a few substantial minuses, especially at that price point. Of course I wouldn’t be turning it down if someone gave me one. Ha,ha! Loved your tour, very complete. You two rock. Keep up the good work.

Nice walkthrough. You might want to double check the specifications. If the 58,000 pound figure is the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) that is the maximum the rig is allowed to weigh when fully loaded. You cited a payload of 15,000 pounds, which suggests that the base weight is 43,000 pounds. The 30,000 pound towing capacity is impressive. Super Cs tend to be popular with the race car crowd as they can pull a stacker trailer with two cars (and a small workshop) inside.

We have the same fridge in our 2020 Jayco 36 SSWS Pinnacle and we love it. I have to caution my husband though as he thinks he can go to the meat shop and get a large order! I suggest plastic baskets for the freezer to keep things from sliding off the shelves. I got mine at Target. The next thing is the pantry. Thank you for your EXCELLENT video! I LOVE the TRUE Super-C platform (there are numerous "wanna be Super-C" posers). Back in 2014 (after three years of looking) I bought a new 2015 Dynamax DX3-37RB Super-C motorhome (it had the BEST floor plan then). The Freightliner based cab / chassis will be around LONG after me, it's built like a tank. Sadly Dynamax had "Moe, Larry & Curly" build the RV part. Virtually NO Quality Control. I've now owned it for 7+ years and, have done EXTENSIVE mods. I expect to "keep on keepin on" for years to come (once it's safe to travel again).

We hate hearing folks have a lemon RV. We really love the Super C's. I still have no idea why we never considered it until after we bought our RV.

@@todayissomeday As far as I know, TRUE Super-C RVs weren't around about ~ 10 years ago. I saw one for the first time at Motor Home Specialists in Alvarado, TX in 2013. I was impressed that it was built on a COMMERCIAL truck chassis who's COMMERCIAL GRADE engine and chassis were expected to last a million miles or more. In April, 2014, I went to my first HDT (Heavy Duty Truck) Rally where almost all of the attendees came with semis pulling LARGE fifth wheel trailers. I got a good education as to the benefits of using an HDT as an RV base. In late April, I saw the floor plan for the DX3-37RB and recognized how good said floorplan was (which has since seen several changes). With both slide outs CLOSED, the DX3-37RB was easily 98% USABLE (two bedroom drawers were blocked by the mattress; EVERYTHING else was easily accessible AND, ALL of the "important stuff" stayed put. Propane & water lines, appliances did NOT move with the slide outs. The mid-ship half bath was fully usable and, to use the full rear bath, I simply had to roll across the mattress. MANY RVs become almost useless (or at least severely restricted) once the slides outs are retracted. That's just NOT the case with the 2015 DX3-37RB.

The pull out pantry drawers are adjustable. The track that the slides are attached to have holes that allow adjustments to the height of the drawer.

All class "C" motorhomes are inherently safer in a front end crash than a class "A". These super "C's" take that to another level. You have to consider though that there aren't a great many motorhome crashes. I agree with Sherry below....It could be a big-time "lottery win" purchase while the permanent house is being built. Nice rig, but I've seen others that are as well.

New is like 3 million dollars or more. I can buy a lot of house for that and live cheaper and still jump in the suv and take trips and stay in.motels and live cheaper. And be safer in storms. Glad they enjoy it.

Yep, gotta agree 2 with Mr. Goldthorpe below that Super Cs are much, much safer than Class A's. I've heard that they are 11 times safer, I don't have a citation for that but I've got to believe the increased safety factor is substantial in a front end collision. Another issue is ease of service. Everything from the house portion forward is just like any normal diesel truck so lots and lots of places to get service. And that folks is why I'm buying one this winter if the sale of my house goes through on September 30! MIne however won't be in the $500,000 range more like $125,000 or so but still on a medium duty truck chassis.

I was just about sold on the renegade line till i saw this one today. got me to thinkin in a big way now. i like most all the features of the Newmar, the exception is the entry grab rail. its nice to have one, I'm in my seventies, but like the lady says, it could be improved upon.

I like that floor plan a lot. If/when we go full time it will be on the list. I am fortunate that my company is finally realizing us IT guys don't need to sit in an office. Anyway, I am a big fan of Super C's over Class A's. Have seen gorgeous Class A's but I like the ease of maintenance and access to the engine on the front vs on a pusher. One thing that is a plus on the Newmar, though could in the future be a negative since it's new, is the patented walk through to the cab. That passthrough is floor level and the cab is on air so it moved around independent of the rest of the coach. I would love for someone one day to show a video of it in action to just see what it looks like. I think it's a great idea but, as with all things new, time will tell if it's a problem area or not.

I've never been a huge fan of the Super C. All that money and there are still sites don't accept you because it's not Class A. I was surprised by the engine though. Most I've seen are 350 hp and I have just felt that's not enough...so that changes things a little. Still, if I had that kind of money I'd save $100k and go with the New Aire. I'll always be the biggest fan of that rig. Either way, I love Newmar products and so was thrilled you did this video.
