We will be in Barcelona in less than a month. We don’t intend to stay long as the focus of our trip is mainly family in the Malaga area. I was really impressed by your video and all the exciting things to see and do in and around Barcelona. The last time I was in Barcelona was the late 50’s so I don’t remember much.

Sitges for a bougie day trip (or longer) and Port Aventura theme park if you have kids - both an easy train ride away.

Thank you for this information. Very informative as we prepare for our Spain trip this summer. Are tourists not permitted into La Sagrada Familia if wearing shorts? We are traveling with students and we're advised to bring shawls to cover shoulders if wearing tank tops. The site states trousers and skirts mid thigh or over the knee. Did you see tourists being turned away while wearing shorts, or was the dress code not enforced? Thanks

Unfortunately, I'm here in Barcelona as I watch this video & my experience as an African American woman has been terrible. It's AMAZING to see the beautiful architecture & the history. But the blatant RACISM I've experienced here is unreal & unmatched. I've never experienced this in the US. It's so terribly troubling.

Or you guys just look at any negativity and call it racism. I’m Asian and I experience racism too but i’ve never let that get in the way of enjoying and living. Try not to focus on the negative because there will be negativity for everyone and everywhere. Also it’s good to self reflect. Was the incident caused my skin color or your own actions/attitude/etc? Just some suggestions.

@@joonlee30 Appreciate your perspectives though they aren't indicative of my situation. Before we came to the conclusion of racist behaviors, we 'sat' with it for a couple of days. We then begin to laugh off the rudeness with the attitude that people will be people. It wasn't until it became physical (shoving) that it became a problem. I'm not the 'jump-to-race' type of person, we were very thoughtful & mindful b/4 reaching that conclusion.

Girl - WHO HURT YOU!? As a Barcelona citizen I can assure you that it’s not racism, more the issues some people here have with the mass tourism! My baby girl is mixed and in her class are kids of all races and no one cares about their skin color! There are obviously racist idiots everywhere in this world, but it is not as crazy here in Bcn as you made it sound. Next time you should come around I let me know, and I will show you the real Barcelona, and even invite you to some home made tortilla de patata ❤

@@joonlee30ugh typical comment. Zero empathy. Zero critical thinking. Denying racism won’t bring you closer to being white.
