It’s like a well kept secret. Even growing up my parents made a lot of money investing but I still didn’t understand it until I was 30. Just invest in an S&P 500 tracking fund. VOO and SPY are a classic way to start. You can easily set up an account to do this with Robinhood. If you really plan to save it for retirement, put it into an IRA account.

I agree with the credit cards, the way I see it is stores up prices to cover the credit card fees (the stores pays the credit card company when you use there card), so if you arent getting the cash back you are paying for someone else's cash back.

You should make another video at some point talking about Roth IRAs. They give you 7-12% compounding interest per year but it's tax free! Gives you a nice $1M+ retirement fund if you start it young enough. The downside is that you can only add up to $6500 per year to the account. I think it's also important to point out that while compounding interest is the best thing ever if you're the one owning the account, it's also why things like student loans or mortgages can get out of hand quickly if you aren't diligent about paying it off.

With regards to people in the past being able to afford a house on a basic income, unfortunately those times are long behind us for most people and most countries I think. The labour supply is just *way too high* and most governments subscribe to Neoliberal economics - regardless of their rhetoric. Importing too much labour depresses the wages of the lower class, squashes the middle class, and reduces the costs of every industry that relies on unskilled labour which crushes economic opportunities for the younger generations. The only real "hack" right now when it comes to the economy for most people is to work remote while moving to the middle of nowhere or to a country with a terrible economy =/
@Daniel_H01

yeah i saw a youtube video explaining that our parents and their parents were actually able to afford more on their income. it was like 30%-40% of their income used to actually live (bills, housing, and etc). the video said that nowadays the younger generation has to spend like 75% of their income on those same bills and such. everything is just way too high these days.

This is misleading. Credit card companies report your current balance to credit score organizations like FICO every so often. This reporting date may fall before your statement balance is due. Both visa and MasterCard report every 30 days or so. Your credit report should tell you the date the bank reported.
@MotoManDan1

@@maxxroach8033 from my bank "Credit usage is the percentage of available credit you’re using at any given time. We recommend keeping your credit usage below 30%." However you are theoretically correct, it would be based around their reporting timeframe so you could use more than 30% and it not be an issue if its acquired and paid off during that window, but that's more to track and could be subject to change.
@JackofNothingess
5 ай бұрын
There are many factors that determine your credit score based on credit cards. Payment history is usually 60% of your score, while credit utilization is about 30% of your score. So, having a credit usage under 30% of your limit can help your score, and paying off balances at the right timing can help OR hinder your score (timing is very important). And, having higher reportable equity in assets over owed liabilities in your finances also will help your score. Also, there's a strange voodoo magic math with credit scores that makes it hard to pin down what actual factors matter. If you understand the general concepts, it'll help you get your score on track. Final disclaimer: Credit scores only matter IF you plan on getting a house or something big. Otherwise it doesn't matter so much.

I really don't see what everyone is complaining about with the economy. I have 3 kids and one income at 29 and we go on trips and can live. We aren't rich but we wouldn't have been rich doing this in the 70s either. I own a house and we are doing ok. Working at home depot or McDonald's has never been a way to do well and if you work those kinds of jobs expect to struggle. In the 60s people would work 2 or even 3 of those jobs to take care of a family and survive. I think there are just a bunch of people complaining because life is hard. It always has been, and it always will. You won't just be given everything, so don't expect that. Just work hard and take care with your money.
@zadien8409

BTW guys, compound interest is why so few people end up with so much of the money. They are the ones that made the most and then invested it to continue to grow that money. It's a combination of talent, skill, privilege, and luck. You can disparage such people all you want with claims that they stole their wealth, but the bottom line is you don't get that rich unless you invest, and investing is what creates an economy that continues to grow. People hording money and putting it in their mattress or in a vault like scrooge mcduck is a myth. The vast majority is tied up in investments which push the economy forward and create the richest and most prosperous time in history so far.

I hate to be a nay sayer. But mathematically speaking. The stock market doesn't actually grow by "10%" (or any number) every year. And let me explain. If there is hypothetically 100 dollars in existence. And all of it is in the stock market. And next year there is 110 dollars... where did that 10 dollars come from? It had to come from somewhere. The answer is that the government had to print the money, because otherwise the money wouldn't exist. By the logic, the way to end poverty and retirement issues is make an account when every American is born and put 1 million dollars in it, catch is that they can't touch it until they retire. Then everyone would just get interest off of it for their entire life and poof. No more poverty. But when it's said like that, it sounds funny. And the truth is. It can't happen. For someone to make money, someone has to lose money. If every single person in the world followed this advice and put every penny they could into the stock market, the global economy would crash. Because the world relies on people spending their hard earned money. If everyone saved it and never spent it. Employers wouldn't have money to pay their people, employees wouldn't have money to spend, the only people who would have money would be bankers. While yes. In theory, compound interest works like that. But its definitely more nuanced and doesn't actually follow that model when you consider the big picture.

It shouldn't take longer than half a second to spamm all your druids in any realistic game scenario. This is just to be in line with snipers and because the ability requires no timing and should just be used off cooldown. This isn't a buff, it's QoL. And again, with the spirit of the forest nerf, going off at the start about how you can't fathom why ninja kiwi would buff the best tower is just pure cringe. I had no idea, but my older cousin did and canceled his years ago. Since ownership was converted to me and I'm not gonna pay for it, I canceled mine too and you get money back + interest when canceling. I got a few 100 more than my cousin due to interest.
