I propose another video comparing the Wise debit card vs the very best of these travel credit cards. Wise should give a better effective exchange rate compared to the credit cards and on top of that travel credit cards normally charge an additional foreign transaction fee however travel credit cards usually give extra points for overseas transactions and you get other perks such as lounge visits. Would be interesting to see which gives the better value.

Wow great idea but then its comparing debit vs credit card, it might not an apple to apple comparison tho. Try checking out this video too: kzitem.info/news/bejne/0pqemauohHihd5wsi=uSpsQmNaayC4vXDk

@@ZietInvests sure its not apple to apple. Iv been wondering about this too. Basically, we want to know whether using credit card overseas is worth more the benefits VS prepaid card or not. Considering the fees, charges, currency exchange --- with the rewards points/miles given back to us. OR is it better to save money on those fees and just go with prepaid card.

As a doctor, would the hong leong bank visa infinite doctors edition be comparable to the cards of this list ? up to 3mil insurance, 4x access to lounges and rm 3.5 for 1 air miles for local and RM 2.2 for 1 air miles for overseas spend? and free annual fee for life, trying to decide between this and the rest on this list
@ZietInvests
Жыл бұрын
Yes definitely as a doctor you can consider this card as it only takes RM4k monthly income to be eligible to sign up (it's really a bargain if you compare it to normal HLB visa infinite card which needs RM12.5k monthly income). In my opinion, if you also fly often with MAS, then you may consider this card too as you said the conversion is as low as RM2.2 to 1 Mile but it's for overseas spending. However, just note that the access to lounges is only MY and SG!

Hi.. Need one help.. I am an Indian citizen travelling to malaysia next month.. how should I carry currency to malaysia so that I don't lose too much on exchanges.. I mean carry USD or SGD or directly buy MYR in India ( bit dfclt to get). Also, is it possible to pay in USDs in malaysia as my Forex card doesnt allow top up of MYR..
@ZietInvests
12 күн бұрын
Hey! If you’re traveling to Malaysia, you could bring USD or SGD as they are easy to exchange here. Buying MYR directly is also an option but might be a bit tricky to get in India. As for using USD in Malaysia, it’s not widely accepted except in tourist spots, so you’ll need MYR for most transactions. Maybe check if your Forex card has a workaround for MYR!

Yeppp, we definitely did research on Maybank 2 Cards Premier, however the reason we did not choose it is because there is no airport lounge access for this card. But if you don't mind having no airport lounge access then this card does have a good reward points system as you can earn 5x treatpoints for RM1 spent locally and it only takes 7 Points for 1 Air Mile.

Hmmm, in your case it seems like a cashback would make more sense, but you can always lay them out side by side to compare all the benefits as they are essentially different thing (one has lounge access too, but not sure if you ever needed that tho)
