I'm working for CR England too I graduated went training and it has been 2 weeks I'm driving, the school was minimal but I benefited because I could practice backing up, the training with a truck driver was a complete garbage, I did not know how that Calcom works how to take jobs how that GPS works plus it keept freezing took me wrong places finally I learned that it's just a GPS just like the one you buy from walmart and all the experienced trucker drivers have a second GPS they never rely on the Calcum GPS. They put me with a Calcum trainer and he is helping me a lot he teach me and when ever I have a question I can call him for anything and that's what I kept doing.

Drivers that are new like myself, this man knows what he is talking about. Even though I haven't been consistent with this technique, it does work whenever I do use it. The last time I did it, I was at the walmart distribution in Williamsburg Virgina and when I did this technique, It only took me backing up three times before my truck was and trailer was completely straight as a whistle with the spot I was backing up into. The key with this technique is your setup. Setup correctly and this technique will work everytime like he said in the video. Again, thank you for making these backing instructional videos. It may take a few pull ups to get the bend out, but if up straighten the wheel and up just until the trailer is in the position you want, them turn the wheel all the way to the left and back up and just repeat that until the bend is gone just like in the video it should work for you. Tell me what's going on that way I can answer your question. Remember that all of the maneuvers share the same principles, recognising the pivot. Like in the 45 video. Then knowing what to do with the wheel. I promise that same technique applies. Also after seeing the 90 done so many times, I want you to notice that at the end of doing your setup, that you end up in the position setup as a 45 lol. Next time you try it, tell me if I'm lying ☺😷. I look forward to hearing your feedback.

That's good news because backing is one of the things that make people give up. So I'm happy this help. It's really not as hard as it seems. Follow these steps and it will really begin to make sense.

Hey Tessa, if you watch that short video and follow the steps exactly like in the video, it should work for you. Once you learn this simple formula you will see that backing isn't as hard a some people make it out to be.☺

Thank you so much for this video. I just passed my hostler training and is set to go to CDL school. This video has helped me get to where I need to be in learning to back a trailer on a dock door and parking space. This is what CDL school need for a learning training tool. Thanks again.

Great question, if setup is done correctly, maybe a couple. But once you began to understand when you have the results of the turn and when to respond (1), if that .

Thank you so much in advance for this video, I haven’t tried it yet but I’m confident because of the way you explained it, I’ve been having so many issues but it makes so much sense now. Do you follow the opposite formula if the setup is on your right?

Correct Angelo! Backing is quite simple if it's explained properly. Don't forget to get out and look if you are unsure of the room you have. Plus it lets the people around you know that you are aware of your surroundings. Thanks for watching.

I have done top gun, and been out with a mentor three weeks, and passed everything except my backing. So I have had my trainer give me tips and time to show me how to back at 90 … and for some reason I get my left and rights pulling and reversing mixed up at times. I now have to back 5-6 times tomorrow morning without help. And to know how to correct if I make a mistake before I can get my truck. I enjoyed this video. I am right now using toy semi’s to understand my turns and this has helped!
