it's not that chuck wasn't wrong, it's that he said"ever since he was 9" and also the scene where he was jealous of how charismatic Jimmy was around his wife, and the fact his mother asked for Jimmy when she was dying. He's always been jealous of Jimmy and when Chuck found success in law, he couldn't stand the fact he'd again have to compete with Jimmy. He wanted to keep Jimmy down. anyone can change and Jimmy was trying to. He looked up to his brother, that's why he became a lawyer. But when his own brother is telling him he's always going to be slipp'n Jimmy and betrays him like that then Jimmy starts to believe it himself. Chuck created Saul Goodman by "trying "to make Jimmy "good"
@EWall1498
4 жыл бұрын
I’ve often thought that if Chuck has been more supportive all along and less dismissive and defensive about Jimmy, Saul Goodman May never have come to pass. Yeah, maybe Jimmy was stealing from the cash drawer at 9, but can you imagine what kind of self-righteous ego pumping 9 year old Chuck must’ve been doing?

You can't blame Chuck for the way Jimmy turned out. Just because Jimmy wanted Chuck's approval doesn't mean he was entitled to it. Put yourself in Chuck's shoes. Jimmy stole money from their parents, scammed people left and right, and the only reason he wasn't a registered sex offender was because Chuck helped him out. He spent his entire adult life laughing at the law. Imagine if somebody constantly disrespected your profession, but one day they decide to dip their toes into your line of work and expect you to support them. I wouldn't be happy either. Chuck had every right not to hire him. Yeah, I get why Jimmy was upset, but that's too bad. Most lawyers right out of school aren't immediately hired to work at their brother's successful law firm. It's not like HHM was the only law firm in the world, and plenty of people will tell you it's usually a bad idea to work with family anyway. Jimmy had an opportunity to prove himself at Davis & Main. They welcomed him with open arms, Kim and Howard vouched for him, he was making good money with a lot of benefits, but he purposely screwed it up because he couldn't handle following the rules. Jimmy became Saul because he never actually wanted to change.
@parkerboy795
2 жыл бұрын
@@artistfloor9 Jimmy made his choices, but that doesn't excuse Chuck's. He never really gave Jimmy a chance to prove he could change and was content with him being stuck the mailroom. While you can justify him not hiring Jimmy somewhat, even with the obvious bias Chuck had against it and the name of HHM proving that claims of nepotism would be BS, you can't justify him having Hamlin block him and lying to him all that time that he was supporting him. Especially Jimmy was supporting him. In the end, yeah, it was Jimmy's choices, but Chuck play a part in creating Saul Goodman.

I love watching you guys when Jimmy/Saul is doing his commercials or stories (squat cobbler, for example!) because you both have this perplexed look whilst being hugely entertained by him as he works. You never know what he’s going to say or do and it’s an amazing show that it can have people pulling those faces and loving every second! My face was the same first time round! The squat cobbler story still makes me laugh every time 😂 As for Nacho on BrB, I’m not sure if he was seen on that show but the name was definitely mentioned. Maybe if he was on that show then it was a different actor who couldn’t sign on when they needed his character back for this show? And Chuck, I’ve always thought maybe his condition is something like fibromyalgia or ME, stress causes him a great deal of bodily pain and fatigue, and when you don’t know the reasons for symptoms, you assign blame to a trigger, whether it’s correct or not. Have you ever been sick, not known why but blamed a certain food or event and then sworn off that food for a long time? Kind of like that. We’ve seen how badly his health takes a turn when his brother has something negative happen. I only suggest this as someone with fibro and ME. The electricity trigger I think is in Chuck’s head but I believe he does feel pain and fatigue from stress, for sure. And the time period this show is set (you can always tell how dated a show is by the mobile phones they use!) diagnoses of those two conditions was very rare and not well understood. 🎥 💊 🧺

I think Jimmy is so determined to keep the office open because it's something he and Kim built. Dude initially practiced law in order to make his brother proud, right? Tried doing it the legitimate way for himself in season 2, but that didn't work out. Now, he's got this entire business with Kim set up, and every day he's battling his own insecurities, regarding his brother's hatred. It would probably be too much, the idea that because Chuck pressed charges and pulled all this shit, it means he now has to give up what he built. On some level, he's afraid of the idea of being, as Chuck put it, a chimp with a machine gun. But he doesn't want to tell Kim that; voicing your fears can feel like you're making them come true, when you're really afraid of them. So instead, he just insists on keeping it open, and lets Kim believe whatever she wants.

Steven you're great at producing this internet show. Nitro-glycerin, is a pill people take to stop heart attacks in their tracks. It really is a fast acting drug, as shown. That's what I think that pill was. I could be wrong... possibly. 🎥💊🗑️👙👗👖🛍️ Sorry Nikki, those last 5 emojis were the best I could do for a "laundry basket". Great episode of your reaction show.

He would be a little too young here I think but it would be so cool if that was the case

@@Carlos-ln8fd Well this series started 6 years before BB. Jesse was 24-25 when that show started. In BCS he would be just out of high school(which, according to El Camino, he "totally graduated"). It's very possible he would be in the game at that point. Especially if he's childhood friends with Emilio, who is Domingo's cousin.

@@ZenShroud1 Totally I think you're right. If it's true then I'm kinda mad at Jesse because he got Domingo beaten up.

If Kim wasn’t a great lawyer and got Jimmy only a year suspension instead of total disbarment, Walt would have been killed by the Twins in S3 because he would have never met Gus who made the call to stop them. Walt would have been chopped up into little pieces for Skyler to find.

Hey guys, I don't know about Albuquerque, but if you walked about downtown Toronto, Canada, San Francisco, LA, or I'd suppose most major US cities wearing a space blanket or covered in Saran wrap, ... no one would say anything, if even notice anything out of the ordinary. Have a great day. =)

At 16:37 Saul/Jimmy says "say the words" just like in Felina where Jesse has the gun pointed at Walt and says "say the words, say you want this! Nothing happens until I hear you say it."
