Ernesto was done dirty, and it doesn't get talked about nearly enough. Chuck purposefully lets him hear the tape, then tortures him with vague threats of "consequences" despite knowing that Ernesto will try to warn Jimmy- his plan in fact DEPENDS on Ernesto doing this. Then Chuck FIRES Ernesto for doing exactly what he manipulated him into doing! It wasn't even necessary- I'm sure there was another way to let slip to Jimmy that he had a tape. He just HATED Ernesto for lying on Jimmy's behalf, saying that he called Jimmy when Jimmy turned up at the copy shop after his fall. Poor Ernesto.

I agree. When it first aired, the guy really intimidated me, and I thought more would come from it, that Jimmy would actually face legal repercussions for getting onto the base on false pretenses. But after season 6A, and what happened in the finale, I immediately thought back to that scene, and how the captain was right all along. I know everyone loves Chicanery, as do I, but for me, Witness is the best (or at least my favorite) episode of the season. The entire sequence with Jimmy at Los Pollos Hermanos is flawless from start to finish, one of my favorite scenes of the entire show and something I could watch on an endless loop… which I did. Seriously, it’s one of those scenes where you see something new every time you watch it, so give that a shot and see what you find. After doing that, then try watching it a few more times over, but do it with your eyes closed so you can just listen. Great ASMR aside, it makes you completely forget you’re watching a TV show, and instead convinces you that you are just seeing/hearing/experiencing the real world go by, and it’s incredible. No joke, pure magic. And then we have Mike, starring in the latest episode of MacGyver, and I am absolutely here for it. I really don’t understand why so many people take issue with all of the “MacGyver Mike” scenes/sequences -- similar to Jimmy’s schemes, they are all fantastic, highly entertaining and one of my personal favorite aspects of the show. There’s nothing quite like witnessing that level of ingenuity and creativity on full display as a clever little plan comes to fruition. Those are the big ones, and there’s obviously a lot more in the episode to talk about, but you’ve seen the show, you get it. I don’t have a Top 10 BCS episodes list or anything, but if I did, I’m pretty sure Witness would make the cut--it’s no coincidence I started pushing the idea of BCS ultimately eclipsing BB as the superior show way back around Season 3.

I know right, thats literally the episode where mike loses most of what's left of his humanity and becomes little better than heisenberg. And before people @ me by saying Miike genuinely was doing it for his family NO. If he was doing it for his family, he would have told hank everything so he wouldnt take Kaylee's $2 million. And yes Hank is allowed to BS mike, but with that deal in mind, Mike could have used a lawyer to negotiate the deal into reality. He clearly was not necessarily a fan of criminals as he had been a cop in the past, and frequently expressed disdain for how the salamancas and gus operate. He does what he does because he has the same romanticised notions walt does. "Im doing this for my family. Im a good criminal." And werner's arc is really what seals the deal on this. Just as walt is willing to kill clueless people whom are barely in the game (Gale) mike will fully obey gus in executing a clueless man whom is barely in the game (Werner).

Jimmy and Kim’s relationship are always in crisis…and this was before the landslide that was season 4, the sh*tstorm that was season 5 and a supervolcanic eruption that was season 6. Kim was right about this though. “We both should take it easy. How about a day without drama?”

It's so interesting how much of a villain Chuck is to you. I mean, don't get me wrong, Chuck's a bastard, but I definitely sympathize with him more than you do. That's the great thing about BB and BCS. How gray all the characters are and how much the audience connects with different aspects of the characters Also, you misspelled "lantern"

Hey man, good video. 2+ hours is super impressive. It must’ve taken forever to make. If I could provide some constructive criticism though, I noticed that often during scenes you would just describe the entire scene in detail while also playing clips from that scene. For example, the conversation between jimmy and chuck in episode 10. I think there were multiple times where you just said the dialogue that they say then show them saying it. It’s not a huge deal it just seems redundant and is a bit annoying. Maybe it’s just me but I didn’t notice you doing it at all in the last 2. Maybe some segments could just use another look. Anyway great job overall. Looking forward to season 4’s video.

great video, but the best thing about it is that 30s long better call Saul music looped for over 2 hours...

Can't wait to see the tier list for the remaining seasons. Like you, I've gravitated towards Gordon Smiths episodes. Five-O, Gloves Off, Chicanery.. Will be cool to see where Bagman, Rock and Hard Place and tonight's episode Point and Shoot will end up. A bit disappointed he isn't directing it, but Gilligan is like he did with Smith's Bagman episode so that's the next best thing for me. My second favorite writer of the series is Thomas Schnauz' episodes, but I liked his directing as much as Smiths'.

"salamanca money, salamanca blood" isn't actually the last thing that Hector says, the last thing he says is "It is personal" towards gus. I know you probabably didn't mean the former in your video, but still, it's such a cool thing I wanted to mention it.

I still think Pimento and Five-O are better than Witness but I agree that the episode is criminally underrated

Jimmy's Bar hearing where Chuck flips out reminds me so much of "The Caine Mutiny" courts martial scene when Humphrey Bogart looses it.

I have a fact for you from the blu ray commentary, the DMV/MVD thing was a cover for the creators having saul reference the DMV in Breaking Bad, but they didn't realize that in some states, including New Mexico, it's called the MVD. They literally wrote that part of the scene to cover their mistake and explain why Saul in BB refers to it as the DMV. I thought that was funny when they said that in the commentary.

I’m surprised you didn’t mention the similarities between Kim immediately waking up to the alarm in her car and Lalo doing the same thing later on. Same thing for the “you’re flooding it” scene being similar to the one in Breaking Bad.

btw, I've seen thru the charade and totally have figured out who exactly Carol Burnett is gonna play in this finale stretch. One last slightly-mathematically-impossible recasting of Kaylee Ehrmentraut.

Love the tier list videoes:-) Really great summaries with a lot of great insight! Although I have to say that you get pretty tired of hearing the end credits theme for two hours. Maybe you could spruce it up for the season 4 list? Cheers!
