I got a Cycplus because it has the pressure gauge. For multi-day trips its super handy for topping up to the right pressure. Its so quick to use, its easy to stick a couple of extra psi in if you hit a long road section. Just with that type of use, on two bikes, it easily lasts a week or more between charges. It might be a bit heavy and very loud, but having the right tyre pressure makes those hills feel so much easier 😂

That’s a great point! Didn’t think about topping up but makes perfect sense

Totally agree, I used to use CO2 but nowadays I use a pump as they are so much more reliable.

Definitely! Had two many spillages and excises with co2 to make it worthwhile

Never got into co2 - molecules are smaller than the 'air' a tyre inflated with co2 ends up going flat anyway. i take a small pump with me just incase but switched to cycplus a while ago even if somewhat loud. Love it.

and it can degrade some tubeless sealants, so it's really just an emergency shot of CO2, then pump up properly later or when at home.

Co2 for rides at home and a pump for bike packing/ touring

If you’re bikepacking, it also means you’re unnecessarily carrying another battery. It’d be cool there was an electric pump with no battery attached

Yeah good idea, just plug into your battery pack

Nice to be able to easily raise pressure after lowering it for different conditions.

If you find them by beer cans it won't be CO², but NOS!

I don’t see the point in these pumps tbh. I have a Silca Tattico, top quality hand pump and no charging. I think in a race maybe handy, but not bikepacking. If I get a flat which is rare, I tend to just sit down, relax and pump up. I wouldn’t care if it takes 5 minutes. Definitely better than Co2 but not than a pump in my opinion

The ones with the beer cans are probably nitrous oxide canisters! Used by kids to get high
