We go to K'gari (Fraser) annually also. 2015 we also went to Moreton Is. primarily as we had heard it was a mini version of Fraser. All we can say, been there done that. Still go to K'gari annually, no intention of revisiting Moreton. Compared to K'gari, it's crap. Whilst returning from our last visit we came across a couple whom go to Moreton annually. Advised them to get their arses to K'gari, Moreton will become a distant memory as it did for us. K'gari has it all over Moreton. If you like Moreton you'll love K'gari.
@gregdogg10

@@ianweal3081 Moreton is much quieter and peaceful. You won’t see 10x p players all in one 4x4 each coz they can’t afford the ferry 😂
@ianweal3081
2 жыл бұрын
@@gregdogg10 yeah, each to their own, all I can add is when our times up on K'gari we reluctantly depart, couldn't wait to see the ferry to get off Moreton. What makes K'gari busy is the things Moreton just doesn't offer, I'll put up with pristine perched lakes, Eli Creek, the extreme flora diversity, fauna (dingos, whales, rays, eaglets, etc), for us it's not about crowds, you depart these frequented locations and it can be as peaceful as we choose, or as busy as we choose depends on location you elect to spend your time on the day, and where you camp. Moreton doesn't offer that choice, it's no mini K'gari, it's individual and can't offer the diversity of choice. That's my view.
@Paul.Reid123
2 жыл бұрын
@@ianweal3081 we absolutely love K'gari, when we go it's not so busy so we don't get the crowds. Would definitely be a hard place to beat. I haven't been to Moreton yet but am thinking about going to check it out. The only thing is if we do we miss out on K'gari for the year. It's a hard decision

Love your videos... however, Morton has been a favorite location for me as a Queenslander as it is largely unknown and therefore fairly unrestricted. It saddens me when people promote these special places as, due to excessive visitation, they soon become over regulated and unspecial. Just look at Fraser Island where there is now only regulated camping and no fires! It's great that you have a monetized channel but please be cognizant of the local people who enjoy these areas without crowds and restrictions.
