The way all the sentences flow into each other while the polymorph invades Rimmer's memories is pure art

Surprised to see 1 in 10 Dwarfers(?) gave this the thumbs down. These two books, in many ways, surpass the TV show. They were both brilliant.

I wish we could've gotten a moment on the show like 41:00. I know it couldn't be exact, but it would be nice to have that kind of reaction from Rimmer concerning Lister's life, safety, health, ect... Lister would never know but we would.

There are some seriously charming moments in this part of the story. Possibly endangering the future of the series

I felt like the first book was pushing the limit of episode premises, weakening the novel by trying to force them into a bigger story, but everything after the cockroach floored me. That ending might be the sweetest moment in Red Dwarf.

All the audio books are on youtube, infinity welcomes careful drivers and Better than life are read by chris barrie,, last human is read by craig charles and Backwards is read by writer Rob Grant.

Are Last Human and Backwards basically episodes of the series strung together, Backwards sounds like it? I've had Infinity on double cassette if that is the one with him going onto the ship for the first time, but pretty sure it was abridged. This one was a bit mad series 5 plot into series 3 plot inside it's own story. Thanks for posting them btw Ace.

There are bits of the episodes in both Last Human and Backwards, although probably a slight bit more in backwards then Last Human :)

That's a fast reply, what a guy. I had a look on wiki and it pretty much reckons you can choose to follow on with either and although Backwards was fourth it ignores Last Human. I gave Backwards two minutes and couldn't deal with Rob Grant's voice, probably just comparing it to having Chris Barrie do a good job, I'll be back to that. Last Human it is.

I couldn't stand Grant's voice on Backwards either. After Barrie and Charles's efforts, it's just dull.
