To answer a few questions below, its often hard to get bets on when you're betting large numbers because the corporate bookmakers monitor the activity of winners and they block or refuse your bets when you are winning consistently. We can complain about it all day long (as we often do) but it's part of being a pro. As far as 'too much luck' being needed on the dishlickers that couldn't be further form the truth. Its all mathematics and with only a maximum of 6 runners or 8 runners (depending which country you bet in) you have the best chance of reducing the risk, versus having to try and reduce the risk in a horse race of 14 -18 runners. You also don't have those cheating little jockeys sitting on their backs, changing the outcome of the race for a sling. And being professional probably means 2 things - you do it full time and you win consistently enough to make a very good living.

@@hughjohn7778 wouldn't agree at all, I make a profit backing UK dogs every year not huge amounts but I always show a profit, UK dog racing is much straighter than people think, Dogs can be withdrawn by stewards if 3lb over or underweight at times, You will also be called in to explain up turns in form. Drug testing is more routine than other jurisdictions. I'm not saying it's all straight but it's straighter than most people think, especially compared to other jurisdictions where only 3 dogs are tested out of 60+ runners

A large percentage of Greyhound races are rigged. This guy is in the know big time to be able to make a living from dogs. My late uncle used to train Greyhounds and when he wanted them to run slowly he would just feed them 30 minutes before a race. He would do that and take back handers from the bookies for the information.

bookies are cowards... they can refuse your bet. he b known to all the bookies on track and even the likes of boyles, Ladbrokes, bet Fred etc , and if they see him going for s touch they can refuse him or most likely give him a small bet and reduced odds.. they will slash the price of his pick. giving it a false price. bookies are an absolute joke.
