80s movies didn't just feature songs that were once hits in the past. They made NEW hit songs FOR the movies, and the movies made HITS out of the songs! Beverly Hills Cop was LOADED. "The Heat Is On' - Glenn Frey (#2) "Neutron Dance" - The Pointer Sisters (#6) "Axel F" - Harold Faltermeyer (#3) "Stir It Up" and "New Attitude" - Patti Labelle (#41 and #17)

Because of the recognition won by his work here, Bronson Pinchot was soon hired to be in a sitcom called "Perfect Strangers" that gained wide popularity. He and his co-star, Mark Lynn-Baker remain friends. I heard a podcast interview with him once, and not only was he very witty, but he struck me as a very charming and down-to-earth person as well.

She’s so much like her mother, it’s eerie. If you didn’t know before, you’ll see it. They have the same voice, even.

18:24 - The actors improvised much of their lines and in this scene, everyone had trouble getting through it because they couldn't stop laughing and breaking character. If you look closely, John Ashton (Taggart on the right) is pinching his face to keep from laughing and Judge Reinhold (Rosewood on the left) was pinching his thigh through his pocket to keep his composure. If you enjoyed this, the sequel (BHC II) has action and comedy that are dialed up to 11 as it was created by the Don Simpson/Jerry Bruckheimer clan (they made Top Gun).
