This video got lots of comments, thank you to everyone who participated !! In retrospect to the video, I think any device running directly off a propane tank without a regulator can be very dangerous. I have a propane furnace on my boat, regulated. A propane heater in the shop, regulated. A propane cook stove in the boat, regulated. I have a Buddy heater that I have not used in years, it comes with a regulator. Using a weed torch around the property requires lugging a liquid propane tank around with you, slosh slosh.... That is most likely why I got liquid propane up into the system and eventually causing the seal in the valve to fail and become a true danger.

Put a ball valve on it.

Hank Hill recommends Bernzomatic ha ha ha

Propane tanks shouldn't be laid on their side for that very reason. Is that a special tank or something?
@mike73ng
Perhaps if you treated your tools better they would treat you better. The rust on the Harbor freight torches speaks volumes.
@DonziGT230
Jeezus. This is an example as to why we can't trust people's reviews and complaints. You caused the problem by having the tank laying on it's side, which the instructions probably warn against, but you blame the torch. A propane tank can't dispense liquid if it's upright and none of these torches are designed to work with liquid propane.

No problems with mine!
@USCGCoasttoast
Had mine for years. Store it inside and one thing it did do is stop lighting( the built-in striker) have to use a lighter now.
@coolHandLuke5150
I bought one, only to light brush piles didnt use it much. The hose crimp fittings leaked very qui

I'm a bit confused on the way this fails. In the video you mentioned "propane dripping down". How is that even possible?
@shockingguy
Honestly if they do that you should file a major federal complaint with the consumer product safety commission, go online and file a complaint this can’t be the only ones that do it 👍

The store of many of my past disappointments
@johnlenhardt3789
Maybe take care of your tools look at the rust on the valve u say failed
@johnb2674
HF has useful tools and equipment but when it comes to your safety spend the extra money for sure.
@Al-bp2tw
If you take better care of your equipment it may last a little longer. I've had one of those weed burners since 2008 and it looks like it just came out of the box it works just fine.🙄Have a little bit more respect for your tools and they will work much better!!!!💯🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
