Like i said in the outro, once the balance type video is done (and potentially another video correcting all my mistakes in this series) i think that would be the end of the beyblade 101 series. Question is, what would come after? I have a handful of beyblade video and series ideas but i would love to hear your suggestions. Some of the ideas of mine would be, videos recapping a season of the show, revisiting the beyblade video games, Combo testing, Irl tournaments. So on an so fourth.

it is possible to win by survivor finish if you A get lucky and your opponent mislaunches, B you hit them hard enough to slam them into the wall and kill their spin C they hit the wall D you destabilize them enough so they die E your attack type isn't hyper aggressive Also some plastic tips can be very aggressive, a good example is hold I don't recommend this but you could use a light disk for attack types since it will make them even faster

I actually mention destroy in my balance type video Destroy has a very good balance between attack and stamina so is very good in ridge staller combos As a purely attack tip not so great It doesn’t have the friction it needs to hit hard enough and avoid being knocked out But it does have the LAD for good stamina potential

Attack types just need to have prominent contact points that protrude from the main layer. Being an odd or even number doesn’t really play into it, 3 is the most common i think but there is the odd 1 like xcalibur or 4 like dragoon in the older series

Very bare-bones for a video described as "everything you need to know". Doesn't mention hybrid attack types, which are more popular in Japan and SEA due to prominent use of something else you didn't mention, being the DB stadium. I know everyone loves the Standard Type, but just like the BB-10, I don't think it fits DB/BU era beyblades. Not giving information about either of these things is a bit misleading, though I believe you're not doing it intentionally. You also missed some other drivers, plastic flats like Volcanic' can be useful. Not trying to pick a fight or start an argument or anything, but I felt that there was too much information left out of this video for it to be a good comprehensive all-in-one place to come for information on how to use attack types.
@Milgo
Жыл бұрын
Yeah i omitted talking about tips like volcanic because i thought that they fit into the category of balance types better than attack types being more of an attack stamina hybrid Also thanks for letting me know db stadium is actually being used I thought in normal wbo tournaments they only used the standard type stadium so i never bothered buying it and testing it out myself. I would appreciate knowing more things that i missed out on for potentially making a video after the balance type one where i go back and add information that i didn’t include or things that are now outdated or just flat out wrong so I appreciate the feedback :)
@HaruHoneybun
Жыл бұрын
oh, no worries! I wasn't trying to sound aggro, apologies if I did. But yah, DB stadium has a bit of a stigma attached to it in the west, but it's considered the standard stadium in Japan from what I know (it's been about a year since I went). Over there the standard stadium was referred to as "the old standard". And basically the meta around attack types revolves around using hard hitting layers like Savior/Guilty, on drivers like Volcanic', Xceed'+Z, Zone'+Z, High Charge', Xtend+', and Quatro. The idea is that because the DB stadium is more sloped on the inner bowl, with an outer ring that allows for a 2nd hit to knock people into walls or into pockets, the optimal "attack pattern" is to use a rounder/wider tip to preserve stamina against defensive/stamina types enough to knock them into that 2nd layer and then have enough spin left to try and hit them into a pocket. They use layers like Guilty/Xyphoid/Ultimate etc like you mentioned a fair good amount, so that info isn't wrong, just the rubber driver part is a bit misleading. They're still very widely used on attack types, but they require a far greater deal of control over your launch angle to use into the DB stadium. So like us, they decided that rubber tips are too hard to make work, but instead of just going back to the standard type stadium like we did, they decided to try out the wider drivers and found success. My best beyblade right now is definitely Guilty Longinus Fortress Volcanic' in the DB stadium. You'd be surprised how many last-second knock-outs or bursts you get on Volcanic' due to the nature of how freely it spins after using it awhile.

What about height? Im pretty sure upper height means good for smash attack while lower height means good for upper attack.
@Milgo

Im actually working on an updated version of these older videos right now Height wasnt as big a deal in burst as it is now but low height is good for attack to do more damage getting under the opponents blade and having more height is better for stamina

@@Milgo A smash attack (Japanese: スマッシュ攻撃こうげき), originally called a down attack (Japanese: ダウン攻撃こうげき), refers to any Attack that strikes and drives the enemy Bey from above, as opposed to horizontally or upwards like most attacks. Traditionally, parts with Smash Attack capability usually possess concave design elements which allow the Beyblade to strike the enemy Bey down towards the ground during collisions. Smash Attacks briefly disrupts the angular momentum of an enemy Bey by slams them against the stadium floor. These attacks are designed primarily to stagger enemy Beys and can even sleep opponents if the deploying Bey possess sufficient torque and momentum in battle. Traditionally, Beyblades inflicted by a smash will bounce off of the stadium floor as their top region (i.e. Energy Layer) makes contact with the ground. These attacks are particularly frequent in match-ups with Beyblades with differences in height. More often than not, Beyblades with a lower-than-average profile are more susceptible to this type of attack and are equally incapable of utilizing them.Despite their potential to sleep enemy Beys with relative ease, most conventional smash attacks are somewhat difficult to execute, requiring proper positioning, torque, adequate Beyblade height and weight, as well as parts featuring the appropriate design and tools. -Beyblade Wiki

i dont have that tip myself to test it out so this is just going to be a rough guesstimate i think exceed would do well on an attack stamina hybrid combo being kind of like a more attack oriented destroy the flat rubber tip should give it decent power and control at the cost of stamina but the freespinning plastic plate should give it decent life after death i dont see it dethroning something like quick or xtreme but i do think it's still pretty solid

A lot of them do come with plastic tips, but rubber tips are better for attack types because rubber generates more friction making the bey move faster and make it harder to be knocked out but it reduces its stamina a lot
