This game truly changed my life. Akira Toriyama, you influenced my childhood more than I ever knew. Teaching me lessons that were deep and meaningful, thought provoking and introspective at life's journeys and the meanings behind it all. To teach a child the lesson of how to feel love and compassion for Magus is beautiful and no easy task, but you succeeded. When ROBO was disowned by his own kind for loving others who were not like him I cried and every time after that it still choked me up. Frog inspired me to be brave and not take things to seriously. Even in the face of danger and his situation he still could find to find immense courage and even humor flexing and croaking! And of course Chrono, the quite yet adventurous and virtuous red headed boy, exactly like me. This game made into a real gamer as a child. I was given this this game along with a stack of others and a super Nintendo by an uncle when I was 6 or 7. There was NO WAY I was going to be able to figure this game out then. But over years I gave up and came back over and over and I made it slightly further and I learned the concepts of an rpg. I remember the future location of the sunstone where there are fires that spin around the main boss and it cast flare, I never thought I would be able to beat that, it was a huge barrier for me for literally years. The other thing that seemed impossible to even think of beating as a child was the floating airship that appears near the end of the game and is in every timeline. But as a preteen and teen I was able to finally put it all together and really make this game my all time favorite game. This lead to me being the gamer I was who loved the strategy behind rpg's. Finding ways to synergize different team mates in games like FF9 was always so satisfying to me. Looking back it was probably inspired in me by this masterpiece of a game and all the different combo attacks that can be done. Flash forward a few more years and I'm a middleschooler who loves dragon ball z. Imagine my shock when I learned that my favorite game of all time and my favorite kids show of all time was character creator for both. 🤯❤ RIP Akira Toriyama, Thank you for the wonderful childhood.

This has to be the most well done rendition of the soundtrack maybe ever, it needs to be definitive. Everything sounds full, in it's correct place and not overdone like on some others i've listened to. Clearly shows proficiency in audio engineering.

I mean. I agree with you that this album is pretty awesome...But who would it take to decide that it was the "definitive" soundtrack for it to stick? Can't you just decide that it's the definitive chrono trigger sound track, in your opinion? That honestly ought to be enough.

This is sincerely the best cover of these tracks I have ever heard. You clearly grasp the feel Mitsuda was going for on each and every track, and you reproduced those feels perfectly. Where many covers try too much to have their own spin on things and end up losing or obscuring the emotions of the original, these are each brilliant love letters to the originals. Simply fantastic

Just wanted to say thank you for creating this. It's really well done and stays true to the original tunes. Usually when people "redo" these tracks for games they go over the top and change it too much. It's important to remember that the original tracks on the original SNES hardware are true masterpieces in and of themselves. Careful love and attention is needed. I think you did that here. The songs elicit emotion. Would you please consider doing this for Final Fantasy 2 and 3 for SNES, as well as Breath of Fire 1 and 2 for SNES? I am new to your channel. All of these tracks are great, but favorites are: - The Day the World Revived - Corridors of Time - Schala's Theme - Undersea Palace - Black Omen - Last Battle

I was working on my own things and when I noticed the change of music I was very close to change the video and listen/see something else, but man, I stayed and it was the best decision I made in the entire day! haha I cannot describe how good it is, it really captures the soul of the game and the original intention that Yasunori Mitsuda had in those early years when he composed the OST. Excellent tribute Pontus, 10/10. Thanks a lot for creating this! I'm really loving it more and more with each repetition of the album. You have my sub and my gratitude! Big regards from Chile!

Sorry for breaking your hope, but after the crap they made with the DS and PC version, they most likely won't touch chrono trigger again, the game is such a perfect gem already that if its polished further it will lose its gleam, and honestly, that might be for the best, nowadays the remakes are all half assed, but at least we saw Crono, Lucca and Marle again in the Chrono Cross remake, radical dreamers stuff.
@ChristianKessler4185
11 ай бұрын
@@Cynna_M Chrono Cross was no remake, it was a lame cheap remaster only. The best thing that could happen to Chrono Trigger, is making a HD Remake in the same quality, like Star Ocean 2 received it and to preserve the game in a modern, technical better way, without the game losing its soul, adding Voice Acting to it, a proper localization, trophy support, maybe here n there some added adaptive trigger features from the ps5... Chrono Cross should also have received the same treatment like Star Ocean, giving it actually a real remake, all they did with Chroco Cross, is giving it a proper localization, makign the graphics slightly better and addign the Radical Dreamers Content, that was never released in the west... stuff like that is not worth it to call that a Remake

Chrono Trigger is a life favorite game soundtrack of mine and I’ve listened to countless arrangements and interpretations of the music. I do like your arrangements and interpretations of most of the tracks you have here and what you brought out in them with (color, certain flavors with different instruments, etc.). It’s bold and somewhat different but doesn’t subtract to the essence of the music itself really, which is key when doing your own versions of these timeless pieces of music.
