The dealer did this service on my 2019 Ram 2500. In a couple months my truck was getting a P2459 code which is excessive regen cycles or something like that. My truck was doing a regen every 120 miles and would take 50 miles to finish. I took my truck to a DPF cleaning company and they said it was significantly clogged and they asked if I ever use coolant and I do not. They said something has been in the DPF and it has left a bunch of trash in it that is unusual. They managed to get it cleaned out and achieved normal flow, but it took an excessive amount of work to clear it out. I told them that the dealer did the BG chemical flush on the EGR cooler and the DPF cleaning company said DO NOT EVER have a chemical pumped back into the exhaust system. They suspected that is what generated the odd trash in my DPF. I feel like the EGR cooler should be disconnected from the exhaust if this is the way you are going to clean the cooler.
