I've been flying the Lynx 2 Size S for a month now and I have a good feeling for it.
I'm flying the wing with a Strike 1 harness in size Large. I weigh 67kg and my all up flying weight is between 80kg and 85kg.
I have flown the wing in some very rough air and it is definitely much calmer than the Volt 4. The Volt 4 is a fantastic wing, but for me it becomes too snakey in turbulence and I don't like the feeling. The Lynx 2 is about halfway between the Maestro x-alps and the Volt 4, it is definitely more work than the Maestro, but only half as much as the Volt 4. The Lynx gives me a feeling of great confidence, it tells you what is going on, but also deals with things. It is hard to describe, but the Volt 4 feels super solid and aggressive, the Lynx 2 feels stable and relaxed. Of course this is my subjective assessment of the wings and a great pilot will fly well with either one!
Considering the large and noticeable step up in performance from the Maestro the Lynx 2 feels like the perfect next step. I did also fly the Allegro x-alps in size 19 after the Maestro, but I felt the wing was too large for my weight and it was not as agile as the Maestro. Now I realize that the greater the aspect ratio of the wing the less agile it becomes, but for my weight the Lynx 2 is a big step up from either the Volt 4 XS or the Allegro x-alps 19. Wing loading is very important and can completely change a wing. For example I have a PHI Viola and it is an EN-C just due to the wing loading, but really it is an EN-A wing with a lighter loading.
My advice is always to fly a wing to test it before you buy and try flying it at the top of the weight range as the handling is almost always better there.
Fly Safe and have fun and see you in the air somewhere!
