Quick rules update! Now, unfinished tunnels don't cause you to lose instantly, you can still win if you find room to build every card.

Beautifully illustrated game. A bit of table hogger, but I don't really mind since it looks great on the table. So far, I haven't won the game yet. Lol. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! What a great review. I was on vacation when it came out, but I'm thrilled to come back and find this. Thank you for such a deep dive into my game. Your understanding of the (overly complex) rules is spot-on. I'd never thought of it as a tower defense game, but that totally fits. And thanks for the constructive feedback. I'm re-drawing some of the cards. Adding color is going more slowly, fingers crossed I can get it done by the deadline. As for balance, I added a second win condition. You can win by closing every tunnel OR building every card without running out of room. You've already seen how tricky the former is. The latter is no picnic either. The bigger the dungeon gets, the more weaknesses appear and the easier to get built into a corner. (The second win condition makes the random deck more forgiving but I'll keep playtesting to make sure it's enough.) Thanks for taking the time to articulate what makes it fun and sometimes nerve-wracking. You did a better job of explaining the game than I could have.

I'm glad I got it right! I had such fun with your game. I love a good tower defense and you don't see it much in board game designs. Can't wait to see the final product for this game!

Absolutely love those sketchy illustrations... Put together, the effect is really striking. And the concept of playing as a janitor is a first, at least for me. Such rotten luck with the gems! Looks like the game might need a little more balance, but I'm far from an expert on design. Either way, it's visually great & very easy to set up. Thanks for showing it off! 😁 (By the way, looks like you may have accidentally copied and pasted the chapters from the last video into this one. Just a heads up!)

Agree with you - a perfect example of a pnp game! The drawings and the game itself are so cute.

What’s your method for making cards?

For this game, I printed out the front and back of the cards on thick card stock. I like paper with a weight of 110lb. Then I cut them out and glued them together with a good old glue stick. I put them under a heavy book to dry out. As a final touch, I like to round the corners with a corner punch.

Looks cracking. Funky illustrations. Perhaps a little style over content if I'm being very critical. But it is very well presented indeed.

There's a link in the video description to the thread where you can download the print and play files. But if you want to order a deck premade, bookmark the page and I'll be posting a link to that as soon as I get my proof copy back from the card printer for a quality check. (2-3 weeks)
