Heartful Activity of the Week 19 - Generosity
Activity 1
Take out some time to look back at the way you have come. Remember the times in your life when you did things for others from an unselfish point of view, without expecting anything in return. How did that make you feel? What was your state of mind and heart after doing so? Make a note of it in your journal. Think of newer ways in which you could be more generous and compassionate in your thoughts, words and actions towards yourself and others.
Practice Heartful Listening and Lalaji’s Principles of Communication in your interactions with others.
Activity 2
Observe how you feel in your heart when you do something for someone and wait for them to do the same to you. If they don’t give you the response you expected, how does it make you feel? Reflect upon the heartful principle of minimum input and maximum output.
Have a discussion among your friends and dear ones about generosity of heart and the effect of expectations. Explore the correlation between the two.
Activity 3
Take some time out each day to pray for the people you know, who are going through challenging times in their lives. Make a resolve to be a part of the Universal Prayer diligently and daily, praying for all living beings.
Start a Universal Prayer circle of connection in your family, neighborhood and community.
