I really respected Zhang, I thought she is a good example for the youth. I was shocked by her reaction to defeat in he cage... her poor sportsmanship, she had a meltdown! If she had maintained her composure, I would have thought "In the rematch, Zhang will surely be favored to win, with both physicality and technique." She may still hold those advantages, but she showed an emotional weakness which was surprising.

If you had been knocked out in the ring (I had), you’ll know it’s a common reaction. She had no memory of the knock out so she thought the ref made the wrong call.

yes, she has poor sportsmanship, I was shocked by her reaction too. However, this is a reason behind that. In terms of her record, 21-2-0, it seems like she didn't has many experiences of being defeat, so her emotional control was bad after she lost the game, I think this was understandable. There are many examples in UFC, like in the game of tony ferguson vs Justin gaethje, Tony showed the same reaction after he lost the game, its just because he was undefeated before Justin gaethje!!

@@WangRealEstate I agree she wasnt all the way there, but she had memory of the TKO... she just said it was stopped too soon. But it wasnt and the ref did his job to keep her from taking more damage while in a defenseless position.

@@heyshipeng230 Good analysis. But while Ferguson is a consummate Martial Artist, his personality is much different from Zhangs. Her inability to cope with loss in the heat of the moment was stunning, however it appears as though she has rebounded since then and is putting things in perspective.

@@autumnsword8450 No doubt ref made the right call. Her career could have ended had the ref waited a few more seconds.
