I don't know enough about luxury products to argue with you, but I find it sad that you suggest that more "approachable" & "fun" styles are signs of a lower level of luxury. That which is traditionally considered more "poised" in fashion is that which is more closely aligned to European fashions with color and culture whitewashed out. The opposite of your first set of descriptors is unapproachable & boring, not poised, but the implication is that approachability and fun is a sign of a lack of poise. I KNOW that you didn't mean to make all of these connections, but the fact that the dichotomy is so commonly in a similar way to the way you did is a sign of the pervasiveness of white supremacy in our view of what it means to be successful (i.e. worthy of and able to afford luxury). Again, I don't dispute any your tiers or the position of this brand in them, but hopefully it has nothing to do with the fact that they are willing to use bright colors and "fun" styles that even young people would find attractive.

It’s not often I feel disappointed more so by someone who has been watching my content for a lengthy period of time. Ashanti did you watch the whole video from start to finish or did you skip parts because that’s what your comment is suggesting and secondly in so many previous videos I reference the levels of luxury video which I thought you would be familiar with and hence your comment has left me baffled? Towards the beginning, after the section detailing the leathers each respective brand uses, I talk about craftsmanship and quality of the leathers - did you see this bit? That’s the answer right there! I think i even said it twice! Approachable / fun vs poised is aesthetic - the look and feel of the brand. @SoAnesu I have been watching, and I did watch the entire video, but the idea that poise, even as an aesthetic, is something that is in opposition to approachability is problematic to me. Maybe it's just me, but the idea that being well put together and highly groomed means only that which is "neutral" and without any flair makes me question the entire point of attempting to become poised. I know that flamboyance isn't necessarily in alignment with poise (I am still talking aesthetics only) but does color or pattern (here I'm thinking leather patterns, not anything extravagant) have to be something that is used to discount a piece? I do understand that a piece that has an image or some sort of unusual shape would be less versatile and more prone to trends. I can see where that would put it in opposition to the timeless quality that one would look for in a higher level of luxury, but why does being beige instead of peach or aqua or calfskin instead of snakeskin or alligator make something more classic. These are not things that exist only in trends. I have watched a lot of your videos, and I appreciate them, but I see your recommendations, in line with others I have seen discussing what is luxurious in fashion, tend towards black, white, brown, beige, solid, and smooth. A hunter green or navy is going out on a limb, and red is considered an accent. I admit that last was hyperbole in your case, but not for many who discuss this area. It matters, at least to me, because culture is full of color and pattern (mine and others around the world), and if I have to suppress that to be poised, what am I saying about who I am. There is vibrancy and design that has lasted centuries. Why can't I have my luxury items include that as an aspect of my potentially "timeless" piece? Museums are finding that even the colorless statues and muted paintings of the past are full of vibrant color and enduring designs. The version of luxury that I hear about often is divorced from culture and devoid of heritage, unless it is the heritage of an old Europe brand that built its excellence with the help of state oppression, colonization, and white-washing. So maybe my disappointment isn't about only the issue of approachability and fun in these luxury handbags, but that this luxury and the version of poise that defines its aesthetic denies me. I could, of course, buy a beautiful luxury handbag and add my own flair to my look somewhere else, but if I extend that idea to the rest of my life - buying luxury and looking to add myself elsewhere, I find that there is nowhere for me. Nothing that is considered luxury represents the cultures that I am connected to. Nothing that is considered luxury embraces my heritage as valuable. It is frustrating in general and disappointing when supported by you. I'm not saying that you are wrong. YOU ARE RIGHT. You know luxury better than I ever will. You've spoken to the craftsmen and women and you understand. I know that neither you nor any of the other (well the vast majority of them) evince no ill will or negative intent, but the underlying premise of it all is just... disappointing.

The RL50 is amazing and you are right it does not get the attention it deserves. I have 2 once seen in person they are exquisitely made they rival Chanel and Hermes in my opinion. I also have a Ricky which is nice too but the RL50 is unrivaled.
