Fred, to add to this, let us not forget that the Greek root for death -- necro, as in necrology -- could also indicate that the stranger indulged in necromancy, communing with the dead. Solomon had his strange women who corrupted his worship, and the sons of Aaron burned strange fire before the altar. It seems to me that strange, that is foreign, is a gateway to paganism at best, devil worship at worse. This is not to bash women. I am blessed to know wonderful Christian women, but the younger generation seems caught up with crystals, magic and divination through cartomancy -- especially the Tarot. While I study much of these false things, I have to continually pray not to be taken in by them. I am praying for a relative now who has been seduced by Santeria. Thanks again!
