Thanks so much! This was really helpful. I have all Big Agnes gear and I love them. I had another tent of theirs for years but my dog busted out the screen door. They were super helpful and replaced it with the MTNGlo version of this tent. Thanks for showing me tips on setup for the new features.

Thanks, I just purchased the Fly Creek HV UL 2 Person TENT mtnGLO through Expertcity. Your instructions are very good. What are the negatives about this tent? Anything to look out for? How durable is the floor? Should I make a ground cloth? Thanks again.

No negatives so far...I am taking this tent on the JMT in 2 weeks so I will let you know

Did you get a footprint? Do you worry about the how delicate the floor fabric is without using a footprint? Also I've heard some people make their own footprint out of Tyvek. Any plans to do that? Finally, did you consider the Nemo Hornet 2P which is very similar weight and size but has two doors. Thanks for the review.

I do have Tyvek footprint that I cut to size. I always use one but this tent does not come with one. I have considered NEMO but they are very selective on who they have review for them

NIce review, but IMO, that is a 1 person tent.

HOW can you properly guy out this tent to get a taunt rain fly? I’ve had no luck with this tent on staking out this tent and having a taunt rain fly.

DAC is actually the brand who makes them, not te treatment. They make a few types of poles and stakes for most tent manufacturers.

Would love to see a vid on how to efficiently pack these guys back in. I can usually manage, but it's never as compact as I wish and I feel like it takes me waaaay too long

Hey Erica, Thanks for chiming in! I just stuff the tent body and fly back into the stuff sack. I strap the poles to my pack with the stakes. Makes it super easy, quick and you don't get creases in the tent body from essentially folding it up the same way over and over again. Thanks again and please subscribe if you have not already so you stay up to date on everything that I am working on.

@@TrailAndMountainty for the review, couple standard questions for you, do you recommend seam sealing & waterproofing the tent? do you recommend teflon treating the poles? Or does the manufacturer take care of this stuff for us?

Does the 1lb 15oz trail weight mean the poles and the bug screen/tub portion, stakes and no rainfly?

Did you experience any issues during High Wind? I've been in some lake basins in the sierra where the wind just seems to blow very hard from all directions.

DAC is a Korean manufacturer of tent poles and stakes... not an anodizing process. Every backpacking tent review should include actual measured weights and actual measured dimensions. Many company fudge their specs.
