"Better" is a dubious comment from Runway. I may be being harsh, but they seem to focus on tools rather than quality in the main. Warping and morphing has never really improved, but we got all the motion brush stuff. To me , that's like building the walls before you finished the foundations.
@TheoreticallyMedia

I think it’ll probably take a full overhaul of their model. I feel like they’re tinkering with it constantly though and I’ve seen it get better, then worse, then better again. I do have a feeling that it’s going to see like overnight once they crack it though. Like, one big update and it’s going to slay. Particularly with the bevvy of other tools they have on platform right now.

Now that the world of creative expression is becoming democratised, which skills do you think is going to give people the competitive edge in the creative world? creativity? AI tech skills? adaptiveness? broad knowledge? philosophy? human psychology? sociology? or something else entirely? or all of the above?

Another great vid Tim. You are now my go-to source for this stuff, as I can no longer keep up. Also, weren't we just talking about what Morph does as being something in the "future"? And isn't that a Premiere logo at 1:12? As in, export the entire project as clips in a timeline to Premiere Pro?
@TheoreticallyMedia
6 ай бұрын
I’m wondering about that as well. I think maybe a plugin? My guess is that they’re simply saying you can just export the files and used the logo to be flashy… …but, what if they have a plugin to generate directly in premiere?! I mean, pie in the sky, but that would be amazing!

I know we always like to see the exciting staff about Ai. We need to discuss the implication more often. I recently saw a story where a company laid off their entire employees and fully replaced them with AI. about 700 of them. And The AI have the best metrics that an onwer/CEO dreams of. I don't think enough people are ready for what is about to happen in a year or two. It worrys so much as it excites me. When we lose millions of jobs at ones, we will enter a dark territory that we will not be ready for. I hope my gut feeling is wrong.
@TheoreticallyMedia

I totally agree. I don’t really talk about it on the channel much (YT retention kind of tanks when I do), but I do think about it a lot, and I have been a saying we should be truly planning UBI like, 2 years ago. Most are underestimating the amount of disruption this is going to cause. But, disruption isn’t always a bad thing. I think there’s a pretty positive future on the other side.
@IceMetalPunk

Ultimately, when people talk about job loss, they tend to blame the tech that takes their job. Instead, they should be blaming the social structures that *require* them to have a job. Losing your job is only scary if it leads to homelessness, starvation, untreated illness, etc. But there's no actual reason jobs must be required to obtain those things; it's just other people in society that have decided to laugh while you die unless you give them something they want first. As AI develops and becomes more capable of doing more jobs, humans face a choice: grow up and treat each other with more empathy and less greed... or drive ourselves to extinction, which will be our own fault, not any tech's.

Seriously, right? I think there’s a bit of a magic trick with Sora. Like, if you KNOW it’s Sora you can see some of the inaccuracies. But if you didn’t know? And it was a clip that kind of breezed past? Yeah- 90% of viewers would never question it. Pretty wild.

Maybe I'm just an old fuddy-duddy programmer from ancient times of yore, but I really dislike flowgramming, and wish it wasn't becoming so popular.
