Bobs dad is trying and comes from that era where talking about feelings isn’t encouraged it’s nice to see them both reconnect in such a positive way

I bet it helps that Big Bob's restaurant is right next to a gay bar. Not all guys can be so lucky as to have that kind of a positive influence.

I like how they so causally bring up now and then that Bob lost his mom at a young age, it emotionally scarred both him and his father, and they have difficulty even decades later talking about it. It's genuinely a treat when they have these moments. So well deserved, so sad, so beautiful. ❤

One thing I truly appreciate about this show is that it’s the one show where a dad is not a bumbling idiot.

I actually love how the show is able to develop Bob and his dad's relationship. Like, Big Bob has his faults but he does care about Bob in his own way and acknowledges that he could've handled things better when he was younger. It does kinda feel special that Bob and Linda didn't have the best relationships with their parents, but they go out of their ways to make sure their kids feel loved and valued

What's kinda sad is i watched the scene when bob says hi to his mom in different languages on disney plus and he refers to her in some dubs as "mama." e.g "ciao mama." that broke me into a million pieces, bob really didn't deserve to loose his mother i wanna hug him so bad-

What’s wrong with that? There’s no rush. If anything, it just shows they cared about each other enough to make absolutely sure they were both ready and in the right place in life.
