Glad to see you finally doing this. Make sure you do the break-in process exactly how Yukon says. Some people complain about gear chatter, but I haven't noticed any in the 60+k miles on my Yukon 4.10s. Do it right and you won't have issues down the road.

Overdue, right! We’ll probably video some of the break-in procedure. Thanks for always providing sound advice. How’s MI?

Not there yet, still looking for a house. Hopefully soon we'll be transitioning up there. Meanwhile, taking care of my better half's folks while we're here in NC so it's not a total wash. Actually did my rear axle seals today. Passenger side was leaking pretty good. Apparently I was lucky to have had them last this long. Might be a good idea to check under the rear brake shields every now and then. When they start leaking, you'll see grime build up there and eventually a drip on the inner tire. I've heard stories about them going at 20k!

Hey bud love the show. I have same truck with same mods, tire size etc. Just blew my transmission. I just replaced it with a Randy's Transmission billet stage 2. Also installed 4.30 gear set. Now under going tuning. Excited as you are to see the results. Can't wait to drive it and to see how it feels. I'm looking forward for you also. I don't know anyone that has same truck that did a gear swap.

Can’t wait to see the results and your impressions. I don’t plan on going over my current 35s but even with those I could definitely use like a 4:10. Can’t believe Ram Only offered 3:42s.

I guess they changed things over the years, I have a 2004 it came with the 4.10 gears to the fact I don't like because it raises the RPMs going 70 plus down the highway. My 93 would run 1800, this 2004 runs 2200 at the same speed. I am thinking about going to the 3.73 gears to drop RPMs down. For me with the low end power my truck puts out I don't need the lower gears. Not having any shifting problems running 37s, mine is a 5.9 so that may make a difference.

I wouldn't say wanting to learn how to do it yourself is cutting corners. And that you shouldn't. I learned because I don't like anyone touching my trucks after seeing bad experiences. Plus you save a ton of money learning to fix your own vehicle's. But if you're not confident enough then go to you guy's.👍

Quick question if you don’t mind Sir. What wheels are those? Looks like American force but I don’t know what model they are. They look fantastic. If you could tell me the dimensions/offset etc that would be great. Thanks.

Ram BEAST Projects so I have 3.42 in my ram, gear swap is way down the road for me, would you say 37’s and 3.42 gears isn’t bad but could be better or like this is the worst things ever. I want 37’s lifting mine very soon and nobody on the forums has any direct answer lol. I know it’s not the reccomened gearing and I should have 4.10’s or 4.56’s but as a first had account how would you say the 37’s and 3.42 experience was for the some months you road like that

Man, I was putting so much stress on my drive train & recently started throwing trans codes. If you have a gasser, you can probably get away with it for awhile, not a deleted diesel. This is an overdue upgrade.

You’re probably good, my main issue is with the 68rfe. She’s struggling real bad w/ 3.42’s & 37’s.
