Another excellent video, Wes! Thanks for all the work it took to put it together. It reminded me how much I love the surround sound effect you get on that trail when it passes between the stream on one side and the big walls of rock on the other.

Yeah Big Creek definitely fills that little valley with sound the whole way up! Feels weird once you get away from it and everything falls silent. I always appreciate your feedback and comments, thank you for the encouragement Bob!

Nice and relaxing to watch, as always. Creeks and streams were full there! You always have some pretty awesome fires. If the creeks were full of previous rain, I'm impressed you were able to find dry firewood. Random question: why do horses have to walk across the concrete ford? Slippery or something?

Thanks for watching, Mark! We got lucky on the firewood front, there were some smaller trees that had been downed at some point and we were able to scavenge those for our camp fire. The outside/bark was definitely wet but the core was mostly dry which allowed us to get some heat going to dry the rest out! As far as the horses go, I'm pretty sure it is because it's slippery, and from past experience they can be exceptionally skittish animals. Maybe the water running over that concrete spooks them? Just a theory! Anyways, thank you as always for watching!

Curious whether you are shooting with an A7sIII and whether you’ve tried their gyroscope based stabilization in post. I’m thinking about getting an A7IV that has the same feature.

Yep so, this was all shot on an A7sIII. I actually haven't tried that stabilization in post yet, and now that you say that I actually had the in-camera stabilization turned off in this one since the last time I had my camera out it was on a gimbal! That explains why some of this footage is more shaky than my typical work. I've heard great things about the gyro-stabilization, would be really curious to see what you could do with something like that!

@@WesHicks A7IVs are out of stock right now (good for my bank account), but I'll def keep you posted. Take care.
