I absolutely love that you bought a book by Kant because I definitely also have some books like that on my TBR. Like will I ever read this? Probably not but it looks good on my shelves LOL

The pilgrim's progress is religious. I'm a christian and thought it was kind of meh 😅 I read watership down when I was very young... I have also read half of don quixote! Dickens loves to write long books. A thousand splendid suns is very very good. I also have ariadne on my shelf and need to try it at some point. I have heard really good things about the ignatious sancho book and need to try it too. great haul!

Oh dear, i might have to regift that book then 😅 I’m so excited for all the historical fiction, it’s been too long since I made it a top priority.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is so good! I love it though it could be a little shorter but still it is amazing - but it might feel a bit overwhelming at first with all the footnotes and history of magic :D I also recommend an amazing tv adaptation of it :)

I didn’t know about the adaptation, that sounds amazing!

Although I haven't read anything by Frances Burney she belongs more to the Georgian period even if she died in the early years of Victoria's reign.Having read The Nether World by Gissing he's certainly a wonderful author.

Haha, yes I think I estimated Burney a bit early!
