When I take my dogs to the river, within seconds they are head to toe mud. The wife would always be pissy when the dogs would track mud through the house. So now we stop at the car wash. My dogs seem to love it as they all line up for the hose dow. So if you have a careash close to home, give it a thought .

We usually have the oysters raw - shuck, quick rinse in salt/sea water, squeeze of lemon juice, dash of tabasco & slurp it out of it’s shell! Shucked ones, fry up an oyster omelette, garnish some spring onions and dip in a spicy garlic sauce. 😱 roe (orange red part) of scallop is the best - you shd not throw it away!! Mix minced garlic & butter, brush over scallops & barbaque or grill till cooked ….yummy! 😋

Hey smash, next time for the oysters open them with indirect heat. Like in a dry pan, a bbq, and oven, the grill. Once open garnish them with the sauce of your choosing. Lemon garlic butter for example.

@@SMASHFISHING Got to go there, control breeds the need for control. An extra large feed and let him rip on the birds, let him wish he hadn't done that! He'll realise he can't fly and you will be so discouraging he should conclude that they are no fun quite soon..... suggestions .... I used to use this approach to cure my working dogs of chasing hares and other things like deer. I use commands, wait and leave it, initially introduced with over hot food ( 1/2 a newly fried fish finger). A dog is not stupid and will spit out before being burned. To lead in to this phase putting dinner down with a wait ,get it routine is constructive. I put dinner down saying wait and if mine bolts for it I pick it strait up again so disobedience = delay. The message - obedience result disobedience no result moved on once understood and accepted then developed with the hot fish finger. If dog obeys it all comes good and... Reward! I am a setter man not a spaniel man but I am so much a dog man! Not trying to tell you what to do, just telling you how I would approach the issue. Learning to read him is as important as him learning to read you! Happy happy dog time!!! 👍

Not eating shellfish because it does not open in hot water is a silly old myth. If the hinge is damaged by the heat, it will not open. 99% of all oysters and large clams are opened manually before being cleaned and sold.

Never boil an oyster. Collect them, shuck them, and put each oyster back on the half shell on an oven tray. Little salt pepper, and some lemon juice. Out them in the oven under the broiler until they sizzle and edges curl up, then take them out, let them sit 5 minutes, a squirt of lemon and melted butter with worsteshire in it . Then eat?

The oyster meat is bigger but when you cook them they shrink. Also by the looks of it you over boiled it as well. Still enjoyed it which I can't complain as a majority of people don't like oysters and yes different oysters do taste different. You wouldn't think so but it does have a different taste. Also with the not opening shell fish is a myth the "foot" you mentioned that mussels have oysters have them and sometimes can be cooked and fine but it tightens up rather than releases. Cut it open and if it doesn't reek of death or ammonia then it is fine to eat. I personally have forced open mussels after being cooked many times and have yet to get sick. That precaution was from the olden days when they didn't have fridges etc. But as fresh as that, no doubt ably it was good to eat.

Jay, Jay, Jay I have made this comment in the past. Every single time you touched the food you then wiped your fingers on your clothes then immediately touched the food again then wiped your hand on you clothes then repeated all the span of 30 seconds @. Keep a kitchen towel or clothe napkin at the ready when you are cooking and eating...I am only saying this because I think washing one towel or napkin is better than ruining your clothing with grease stains. Heck even wear an apron 😉. Love your videos sans the grease stains. Remember ...you have a little one on the way and must be a role model!😂🤗✌🤙 ****wait a sec..I just noticed paper towels within you grasp🤨
