Regarding Uranium, I'm surprised that Doomberg never mentioned the geopolitics of Uranium enrichment capacity: over 50% of worldwide Uranium enrichment capacity is located in either Russia or China and their share is slated to increase to 60% by 2030, according to a World Nuclear Association publication. Despite all that excitement in Uranium mining there's hardly any new enrichment capacity being build outside Russia or China. Without enrichment any mined Uranium ore is useless for commercial reactors, and enrichment is not something that any company can casually build somewhere because it's the biggest step towards building nuclear weapons. By the time you enrich uranium to 5-10% U-235 for commercial reactors, you've already done about 90% of the work towards enriching it further to weapons grade.
@JV-lk6md
18 күн бұрын
Enrichment capacity is being built in the US and UK and probably France. But the overfeeding means that Enrichment is not an issue right now and by the time it is, the new capacity will be online. What is needed, and could be a choke point, is conversion capacity to UF6.

The Energy Transition is real but not all of the rhetoric or assumptions are real and true. The "transition" from what - to what is not what most people think. It is empirically driven by a very real technological transition that demands more and more electricity. Demand alone does not pick winners, or what fuels and systems will produce and transmit that power. It will take shape over decades. What comes next is what matters most to invesors, not when Peak Oil will arrive or when fission will become commercial. Very little oil is used for electricity today. Less and less willbeused as we go forward. Oil will still continue be used for other products and purposes for a long time, but more and more electricity demand will require more ... all of the above except oil.. to be mined, converted, transported, and ultimately consumed as electricity. The "train that cannot be stopped" will not run on diesel. It will be powered by electricity, generated with: nuclear; Renewables; "Green"/ "Blue" NG/LNG; geothermal; ... as available, as most economic, and as most "incentivized". Balance and patience 3 - 5 - 10 year outlook Volatility is certain

Don't fight the fed, buy gold instead. 6:00 Doomy mentions the price action of gold being scary and I agree, seems like it doesn't trade down, which indicates really strong demand, nor does it track it's old correlations, which indicates it could be telling us things about de-dollarization and fiscal dominance. Doomberg has spoken about the energy extraction industry explaining how impressive and heroic their achievements are, think of the divers and construction workers, putting that together there, all the way up to the crazy tech and chemistry and then throw in all the natural science geology stuff and yet we don't get told that story because it's such a messy business, better to not look over here. America is soft, we express our power with money and weapons and technology. 8:30 Doomy giving his approach to investing in gold. I hope 'fiscal dominance' and potential consequences of 'blood in the streets' get discussed. Things do fall apart and there's a book that proves it. The rich person's money decisions discussion is more interesting with Doomberg speaking but certainly not the content I'm looking for. 11:00 I'd thought the secret hidden agenda of the Powell and Yellen was to manage the unsustainable fiscal thing, and de-dollarization, caused by our government. No good solutions there.
