I have done several volunteer events for ODFW. Mostly nutrient seeding salmon carcasses in rivers and kids fishing events. I don't always agree with some policies, but for the most part, they do good work.

I think it is fun to help out and it's great to see the boots on the ground type work that is being done for our states wildlife. Like you I can't say I agree with all the policies, but I think that is normal human nature. I think the only way I would agree with all of them is if I was making them🤣 and of course that wouldn't mean they would be good policies. I think if more folks did volunteer like you and I have they would get to see what they are doing first hand they also would see that everything isn't so cut and dry. Again, like you mentioned I do believe on a whole they are doing good work. Thanks so much for your comment. Jason

There really wasn’t a problem with snow on the west side. While we don’t get the amount snow you get, the SW residence, don’t have an issue. A big problem is always OTR Semi & Cali drivers on the 5. Many of the 5 shutdowns were OTR not knowing how to drive on icy conditions. A big thing was ODOT not putting down deicer as they usually do on the 5. A lot of trees fell on the 5 and into power lines added to the difficulty.

An old timer told me how to train a dog not to jump up on people. 1. don't let them on your lap and bed and furniture as they grow from pups.. they won't tell the difference.. they just want to please. 2. IF/when they jump up, during the training you step on their back paws and say down or such. Using no for everything they are not to do confuses them... they don't understand sentences.

That is not a foot deep and you just created a mud bog by shoveling all that loose dirt and rock into the hole that looks like it has a solid bottom.

I will be retiring soon and volunteering with fish and wildlife is a worthy day's work. I will consider doing the same here in Tennessee with our TWRA. Great video and how about that divot! Good thinking on the flag stick, could you imagine hitting that at night with some speed. You might end up in the river. Peace.

Probably we have there. Is you have inexperienced tractor drivers. Sounds to me they don't know what they're doing. You could obviously turn that tractor around there. If you lift the bucket up in the air you can maneuver it around and pick those rocks up and do what you have to do. But I think it's inexperienced and you're just making excuses for him.
