MICRONESIAN SHOULD STOP SHOWING OR TEACHING ANY NONMICRONESIAN ABOUT OUR CULTURES, ESPECIALLY THE VERY AND MOST IMPORTANT ONE. HAWAII FOR EXAMPLE !!!! WE WELCOME ALOHA IN ON OUR SHORELINE AS BROTHERS, ALOHA PULLS BACK HIS HANDS WHEN WE'RE ON HIS SHORELINE. "NO ALOHA FOR MICRONESIAN "

The pattern in the colored sail is not an American flag. The stars probably represent the "Federation of Micronesia".

Well traditionally sails were mostly made from pandanus and not cloth.

Ruff-Rydah ZYCLON If you know anything about seafaring culture at all you'd know most canoe sails were made from pandanus. I will indeed go to bed.But you need to return to school or learn from elders lmfao. If you're from Guam don't even talk about culture when Chamorros lost their ways.

if that canoe is 30' instead of 60', the video should be titled 'medium or small sailing canoes in Micronesia'

Well, these canoes are made of one tree log. There is no bigger trees. That set the scale.

There is a canoe much larger than that in this region. The Marshallese has one which is approximately 80-90 in length and can carry 80-100 people.

Yeah that's a pretty small boat compared to what the Poly's have. Poly's also have canoes for 80 to 100 ppl

No ones superior than the other.Who gives a shit.As long the traditional canoe building and navigation thrives all is well.Micronesia still has this sacred tradition.
