Ketanji voiced serious concern at the possibility of the government not being able to suppress speech through partnering with social media. So...lefties, there goes your 1st amendment rights too. Maybe start playing the long game.

The Right Wing Trump administration also did it "Department of Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad Wolf sent letters to companies including Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Snapchat Friday. They claim that social media sites have enabled "burglary, arson, aggravated assault, rioting, looting, and defacing public property," according to copies of the letters obtained by Business Insider. "It is up to you to decide how to handle content on your platforms. I hope you will do your part in countering the misuse of your platforms to promote, incite, and coordinate criminal activity that threatens the security of all Americans," Wolf wrote in a letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg."

whether they are 'compelling' or simply informing means nothing, freedom of speech means freedom of speech. no winking or head nodding. there is no emergency clause in the bill of rights.

These are environments citizens are not required to participate in, first off - it's the same as going to a movie theater. However, when someone yells, "fire," in that crowded theater (without a fire), the government is fully justified in taking action. It's the same with social media. When someone on social media encourages people to drink bleach, e.g., as a way to combat COVID, which is clearly untrue and far more dangerous than COVID itself, then the government is fully justified in taking action at the very least to discourage it, if not coerce or even force it to be removed, as it is now a threat to the others there, and infringes on THEIR rights. What is NOT being addressed in this content, is that nothing the government was referring to was actually correct - everything was disinformation, and dangerous. REALLY important details, there, guys................

If the government tells you to do something or even suggest that you do something you do it you don't say no to the government!!! The government should never ever be saying anything to anybody about doing anything!!!

Really!? Murder? Robbery? Rape? The government shouldn't say anything about doing those things to anybody? People were drinking bleach b/c of morons on social media - you don't think the government trying to do what they can to discourage them from doing that was appropriate?! Perhaps - just perhaps - it's a bit more nuanced, don't you think?

A news source that actually discusses the facts of the case and opinions of the judges instead having useless politic pundits give their hot air opinions! heresy I tell you, heresy!
