After metal detecting for years and some of the oldest and most historical places on the east coast, there are a few places that always seem to produce the best stuff; colonial taverns and old schoolhouses. So when I found out that this location has both of those on the same property you can imagine our excitement. No only was there a tavern and a schoolhouse, but there are also 2 old colonial houses, out buildings, barns, smokehouses, and a creek that brought water to the entire complex all those years ago. So we took the long ride and we a buckled up for what should be an absolutely epic day of period pieces!
