You need to rev match the gears when down gearing! Also, try part throttle clutchless shifting, just lift off the accelerator lightly and briefly during your shift.

We always rev match shift when street cruising, keep a spare 2-3-4th gear and sliders on hand since its now a maintenance part that need inspected so often

@Cesarcelio24 car is just a factory cable and ive always run that. Didnt see the need to install a hydraulic setup.

When downshifting, you have to blip the throttle while you're in neutral. Otherwise, CLUNK!

You didn’t say why you didn’t get the other transmission with the better ratios, also can’t you set a rev limiter on the ECU so you can shift gears at the same RPM each time instead of using a strain gauge?

It wasnt a choice i had. I got this transmission very slightly used (25 miles on it) for about 20% cheaper than new. It just happened to have this ratio. But some of the coyote guys like them so im just gonna roll with it and see how it does! Im still going to flat foot shift and have the clutch switch trigger my ignition cut. Same as before. Just now i have a transmission that will go into gear every single time with no issues. The syncro style dont really like being shifted above 7k rpm.

made a post not long ago and announced i sold it. sold a bunch of cars to refocus my efforts. cars that are gone: Viper, Colorado, D150 and the Miata

@@J-Whit damm, I was hoping you were going to keep doing the series cuz it's the first time I see somebody want to build the 3.5 and make a lot of horsepower,(found your video like 2 days ago) I want to build my truck without LS swapping it. And prove the engine is good for both fuel economy and power but, quick question did you ever do another significant upgrade to the truck I have essentially the same model year

@jenkidvelez6003 i didnt. But i was going to run into some tuning issues with the ecu. I did a 4200 build instead in the trailblazer. One thing that had me nervous was the balance shafts in the 5 cylinder.
