On May 9, the Social Security Administration announced that they have published yet another final rule that removes barriers to accessing SSI Payments. The new rule adds food benefits (SNAP, Food Stamps, FoodShare) to the listing of public benefits in a house and also gets rid of that “every member” rule that required all household members to receive public assistance for their income to not be deemed against the SSI recipient. We explain.
