By the end of 2021 we were contacted to save computers of a deceased collectors in a barn in southern Belgium. Little did we know what we found when we went to pick it all up in September 2022. It was like a free candy shop for computer collectors and we're ever so happy that we got this once in a lifetime opportunity.
The HomeComputerMuseum saved around 100 computers from this collection and the rest is saved by other collectors. Nearly everything is saved and since October 2022 everything's gone from the barn.
As a museum this was like being in a candy shop and we were allowed to take all. We drove there with 2 big vans and 3 cars, all completely filled with stuff. Registering and repairing took another 3 weeks in the museum!
It has taken until January 2023 before we had the final piece, the Holborn, in our collection. That is a story for a whole new video, which will be available in the next month or so.
So make sure to subscribe if you haven't already!
