I saw a show on how they make those magnets , it is a coil of sheet steel and insulation , very cool . these magnets lose about 20-25 % of their magnetism when they get too hot but that is not bad since they are so strong. nice video , even if it is just a junk yard video , I bet at least 50% or more boys have never been to one or ever go. I used to go with my dad every chance I got when I was a kid , there was no video games to keep me home , that was the game going to the junk yard!

The fuel burned by the crane unloading the pickup was more than the value of the scrap. What an inefficient process.

So if you have a dodge truck made out of steel, you're fucked? Also, they need to be wearing vests and hard hats if they are going to be that close to the equipment.

@hoodwinkedbyanangelmichaelfazi
9 жыл бұрын
For that load which was mostly scrapped sheet-metal and junk $.12 per pound if I remember correctly but the week before for the same load I would've gotten $.16 per pound and the month before that it was $.20 a pound for the same stuff altogether I collected $8000 in scrap metal I had on my property so it was worth saving the scrap even if the neighbors didn't think so LOL

+HoodwinkedbyanAngel Michael Fazio two ratchet straps could have tied that entire load down. if you know how to load, I've had three or four thousand pounds on my trailer and only needed one or two straps, and that's rollin down 95, 65mph.

You have way too much non ferrous stuff mixed in that load
@hoodwinkedbyanangelmichaelfazi
8 жыл бұрын
+Dan Rossell The nonferrous material was going to a completely different junkyard down the road and in fact I had $600 worth of brass copper and aluminum in that particular load including 500 feet of double 00 welding cable. At the time I think that entire load of steel didn't even pay for gas on the 80 mile round trip from junkyard to my house and after that date I put the shit in front of the house for other people to take for free.!
